I will be happy to add information and links to memorials that I manage.

Please use the EDIT tab on each memorial. I can usually get updates done within a day or two.

If your updates are taking longer to appear, then we are probably traveling and I will be getting to additions/corrections just as soon as I have internet access.

If we are on a trip, we could be out of touch from the internet for as much as 2 weeks at a time.

A transfer request must include your relationship to the individual, and a little extra identifying information. This is just to help prevent any potential mix-ups.

Please feel free to use my photos in your on-line family tree. It would be much appreciated if you would give credit to Find A Grave as your source for the photo.

Thanks ahead of time for your help and contributions. They are much appreciated!

RE: Minnie
Thank you for your quick response about Minnie' Belle Kauffmann Klein/Kline parents.

What I know... Minnie's father, Frank A. Kauffmann was born 10 Feb 1810 in Neewiller, Bas-Rhin, Alsace, France and died 23 October 1881 in Sonoma County, California, USA. Minnie's mother Catherine was born in Alsace, France in 1818 and died 23 October 1881 in Sonoma County, California, USA. Catherine's maiden name is still a mystery.

Tibbetts family from Illinois
Hi Cashie!
I am a decendant of John and Polly Tibbetts from Illinois. This would be the grandparents of James William Tibbetts Jr that is listed (# 27198743) and his brother Francis Marion Tibbetts (my great grandfather, # 69454573).
We have virtually no info on William Tibbetts Sr (in fact we did not know his first name was James. I could not find anything in Find-A-Grave. Can you provide any info relating to James William Tibbetts Jr to provide us more info on his father (Sr)?

Anyway, I added John Tibbetts to F-A-G with what info we do have.

James William Riggs (I have Williams on both sides of the family)

Susan Bowles
Yes, it is very interesting now, your update looks great, I figured something out after I checked into as who was Susan Bowles ( Patton ). Her parents has a Find A Grave memorial in Union, Franklin Co. Missouri. I put in for a link for Susan. Then I found out that a FamilySearch file exist for property appraisals for this William Nelson Patton in 1858 and it looks like George Hearst bought his property. It shows also a inventory of personal properly and live stock and slaves, then they had an auction that shows all the people by name that bought all of this stuff, very interesting to show this part. So, my question is, how did after Susan's parents died, which were both of them in the same year of 1857, who did she travel with, I do know that George Hearst married Pheobe in June of 1862 in Missouri, could it had been George and Pheobe, and that Susan appreciated them so much to had named two of her children after them, this part I believe not just that she married a descendant of one, but for their help. Maybe to, for it could be possible that George Hearst introduced her to Caleb his cousin.

I made copies of those appraisal records

I wonder what else happened.

The Boys
Now that we have involved the Hearst family on this, I wonder if they the family had known that some cousins were hanging around. I would would think so, for Caleb and Susan Bowles named two children after George and his wife Phoebe Hearst, Susan had to agree with this, or they were working out here on the Hearst Ranch and appreciated their help. Another thing that I found, George Hearst is in the Census up in Nevada Co. In Nevada City, in the Great California voters Register, Caleb and his brother George Milton Bowles had registered in 1868 and 1871 in Birchville, Nevada Co. California. Did Hearst had any interest at that time too,

Hearst Connection
Hi Cashie, again, searching a little bit more on these two Bowles Twin Boys and you get the Hearst family in evolved. You say, how is that possible. George F Hearst b. 1820 in Franklin Co; who's father was Wm George HearstThe Hearst family came this County. Caleb Bowles, the twin boys father's mother was Mary ( Polly ) Hearst, who married Caleb Bowles Sr in Franklin Co Missouri in 1822 b. 1785 - 1836 died in Missouri. Mary Hearst was sister to this Wm Geo Hearst, so Caleb Jr and George F Hearst were 1st cousins, there for, the two boys and framed William Randolph Hearst were in it self, were 2nd cousins. Look it up.
You never know in this line of research, Wow.

So, is it possible that Caleb and George Hearst came out to California together, they both ended up here on the Central Coast. coming from Franklin Co. Missouri
