My father's family came from Germany around 1770 settling in Frederick County, Maryland. My mother's family came from England, one line arriving on the Mayflower and others apparently arriving later in Virginia area. I've been working on genealogy since 1967 so have much information but have many brick walls. However, I'm constantly uncovering new data so slowly making holes in the walls. I love to help other people find the same kind of excitement in locating their elusive kin.|

|Judith Brown||Jacob Finley|
My ancestor is Charlotte Eagon Findley (Finley), depending on who wrote what in the family Bible. Anyway, she was married to James Findley 19 Nov 1845. They had 5 children. James died in 23 Mar 1859. Could not find Charlotte on 1860 census but on 1870 census, I found her with 2 of her children and she was working for wages. In Bible records, I find Jacob Findley married Charlotte Findley 8 Sep 1872. On the 1880 census, I have Charlotte and Jacob. The questions I now have.
Is this the same Jacob? Were Jacob and James possibly brothers? Any information that you might have would be greatly appreciated.

Blanche, This is my great grandfather. His memorial #7654978 was recorded by Kat on 04 Jul 2003, ten years before you recorded this new memorial. Kat turned the first memorial over to me since Joseph is my great grandfather. How are you related to Joseph D Galloway? I think your husband must be related through Joseph's wife Margaret McFadden Galloway, my great grandmother. I am a direct descendent through their daughter Adalaide Mae Galloway (my grandmother that married James Edward Reed, my father's father).
If you abide by the rules of Find A Grave then you should delete your recent memorial. I have written to you via your email and you have not responded. The email was in regards to Thomas McFadden, my second great grandfather. I would greatly appreciate hearing from you, Margaret Reed Maryott.

The documentation I have I got from the St Charles Heritage Center. The listing for the North Cemetery Burial Records in Section C-15 has Horatio G. S. Blanchard (Co. D 141st Illinois Infantry Civil War) No date is on the stone for the birth or death. There are several Blanchards buried in that section of the cemetery and even a few that are Blanchard's but with a married name. There are also Blanchard's in Section D-15, Section M-16, and one in H-60, although I don't know how she ties in yet. The other cemetery in St Charles that has a couple of Blanchard's is Little Woods Cemetery.
Does this help?

Ma'am - The connection to Ruby is as follows
Sarah Adalaide Hibbard (her mother) is my father's - great grand aunt
So I am filling in the blanks for the entire Hibbard Family - as my father is curious about his family
If you have further information on the Hibbards, I would love to exchange information, pictures etc. - I am mostly trying to assist with finding pictures for my Dad as he has maybe 2 (most pictures were lost along the way)
my father - Charles Lee Ellwood
my father's grandmother - Hattie Adelaide Guthrie
my father's great grandmother - Edna Adalaide Hibbard
Edna's sister is Sarah Adalaide Hibbard (making her my father's great grand aunt)
I am descended down from this line too. Thomas & Hannah> Capt. Ignatius Brown & Elizabeth McAfee> Ignatius G. Brown & Margaret Virginia "Jennie" (Brown) Rinehart> Fannie V. (Rinehart)Rohrer & Clayton Landis Rohrer> Max Rinehart Rohrer & Mary Rebecca (Johnston) Rohrer> Ida Pauline (Rohrer) Price & Elmer Price Sr. (my paternal grandparents).

Thanks so much, Blanche, for providing all the Springer information! I've added it & links & hope I have it all correct. I transferred William Henry, Martha & Paul to you. Since you added the great photos, I assumed they're your family. If you'd like a transfer of Bessie Ellen or any others, please let me know & I'd be very happy to do so! Regards...Dee
