My research of family names include:|
Soccorsi, Ciampanella, Santolini, Lalli, & Lauri families - Colle, Arquata del Tronto, Ascoli Piceno, Marche Italy region and their descendants both in Italy and the US.
Pegley(Pagliari)- Italy and US
Hardman, Fortney, Sigley, Bolyard, Burgoyne in US.
My mother's relations are in and around Masontown, Preston, WV where apparently every one there is related by marriage.
My father's relations are in Preston County as well as Gilmer, Ritchie and Wood county.
I have based my information on here by cemetery books, WV vitals and family knowledge. If the Italian name is spelled one way when born, but changed to Americanize it, I put the American name on here with a note of the original spelling. Just because the birth certificate says one thing, when a person dies they could have changed their name-whether it is their first, middle and or last - it happens.

|John Wittenberg||Incorrect spelling on memorial l# 61909231|
If you would be so kind as to assist me in getting a name correction put through. The person maintaining the site is historyseeker. The memorial in question is:
Find A Grave Memorial# 61909231
The family members are from my family. The headstones have the name spelled correctly. The person maintaining the memorial is taking the misspelling in a death certificate over my word. I just posted the signature of David Ransom Wittenberg. He is the listed informant on his mother's death certificate that is misspelled. Both his name and her name are spelled Wittenburg, however, the entire family in Alexander County, N.C. have spelled their names Wittenberg for generations. I have more proof that I can submit. As you submitted the photograph of the headstone which is spelled Wittenberg I ask you to join me and submit a name change for the last name to be spelled correctly. I received a message back declining the request saying my info was different than that of the person maintaining the memorial. I know my family and specifically these two people. If you would be so kind as to submit a name change based on the headstone photo submitted I would appreciate it greatly.

Hi, are there records at Mt Olive that record his and Dorcas being buried there? Any trace of a stone?
Thanks, Bill McIntyre, GGG Grandson

Doreen's sister, Peni, was my sister-in-law.
Thank you for the contribution of information. It has been added to the memorial with you listed as contributor.
|Jen Cromer||Crum Family Cemetery|
Hi! I stumbled upon the Crum Family Cemetery in my genealogy research. I know it's part of Names in Stone, but were you actually able to find it? I tried to look for it earlier today, but I may need to ask the quarry for permission to search a little deeper. Thanks in advance!

I'm so VERY sorry to bother you w/ adding a request; my time was limited, yesterday, and I just didn't have enough time to add Mrs. Anna's photo. (I apologize for not even sending you a note letting you know I'd add her photo, today.)
My photo does not do justice to the stained glass window in the room of Mr. and Mrs. Maniaci; it's simply breathtaking. Even on overcast days, the entire room is bathed in blue - just beautiful. :)
I'm adding Mrs. Anna's photo, now. :)

Is there a grave stone for him? Or can I get a idea where his grave is in the Davis Cemetery. He is my great grandfather. If a stone can you take a picture. Thank you, Diana
|Barbara Ann Baker||RE: Mittie Beatrice Adams|
Thanks, Corine. After I sent the e-mail, I realized that John, not Joshua, was Mittie's father.
