Bio and Links
Bio Photo My husband and I remodel the world one building at a time but Genealogy is my passion. I first became interested in family history after my mom died at the age of 51 and I realized I knew little about either side of my family. I found a single piece of paper which was all that had been documented about my heritage. It did however claim I was related to General Sherman and Alexander Graham Bell, the latter I have yet to prove. It also said I had a relative that owned a circus, with help from so many this has proven to be true, many of my Sherman family worked for the Sherman Circus and my gg uncle owned it. All Sherman's are of interest to me. Each piece of the puzzle peaked my interest more. I research every day sometimes my family more often others, all fascinating.

**The photo section of the memorial is for pictures of the person, their family, headstone and plot photos, not census records, burial cards, copies of obits and death notices etc. please don't post these things in the photo section, not only does it look tacky it is against Find A Grave rules.

**I am finding more and more of my hard work and photos on other people's trees on Ancestry. Although I don't mind sharing it would be nice if you would ask me before taking any of my research or photos. Because of this I have made the family tree on Ancestry private, sad that this has to happen but too many are claiming my work and photos as their
own. If this continues I will be removing all photos and information from my families memorials here as well.**

Research Books I own and will do look-ups:
Sherman Directories, A 4 Volume set of Sherman Ancestry in America.
El Dorado County, CA Cemetery Book
Solano County, CA Cemetery Book

I am an active volunteer, if you have administrative control over a cemetery please don't edit my memorials or add to them, send me the information and I will take care of it.

If you want a memorial edited, or transferred please do it through the edit button of the memorial not here that way there is no question what memorial you are talking about.

Contact me
Good afternoon,

Please contact me via my email address in regards to both the Kimball and Haupt cemeteries. I have personal access to these burials and first-hand accounts of these people. I would appreciate a thorough discussion of our research so that the record may be set straight.

RE: Haupt edits
Good morning,

Perhaps the most comprehensive source that is in publication is Lynn Rudy's "The Old Salt Point Township', vol. II, which details the lives of ranch era settlers in biographical sketches. A link to start your search for the book is provided below. Please do not mistake it for vol. 1, which is a general overview.

I have also been compiling a comprehensive history of the Haupt Ranch based on many accounts, oral and academic alike. If you would like to read my work and view my other sources, please contact me via my email address.

Thank you,

From my mother she understood that Ventie had a physical disability. She is interested in what that disability was caused by. Her thought is polio.

Any and all information is welcome.

Vintie Lee Martin

In March 2015 you did the initial workup for Ventie Lee Martin. I recently discovered he was my Grandfather. Do you have any additional information or can you point me in that direction. I am a member of

CHB (#47375564) is in charge of the memorial but I could not contact them - their messages are turned off.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

RE: Rorbert Harper
Eileen, I am so sorry for not responding sooner. I don't know if you found the information yet. And I don't know if you have access to Ancestry but on there in the U.S., Social Security Applications and Claims Index, 1936-2007, it lists his parents as Bill Harper and Arcno Caudle. And the Nevada, Death Index, 1980-2012 has the birth place as Texas. And I found him on the 1940 US Census with Rosa Steel as head of household, his grandmother, with Arcno Harper as his mother, Flora V Harper as his sister. Alvin Harper is listed as his brother. Hope this helps.

This is my grandmother, can you transfer this memorial so I can continue to add family?
