Bio and Links
I am from Virginia and have been searching my family since 1968. I have Wallers from spotsylvania Co. Va. Massie from Amherst and Nelson, Withers from Fauquier down to Amherst and Nelson, Wheelers from Louisa and Albemarle Co, Goin and Wright from Amherst and somewhere. Military life took us everywhere but home. So 2010 has brought me home again.Sometimes it is hard to get a good picture. If you can get a better one, we'll replace it.

RE: your Gordon Gates request
I'm just kicking myself for carrying neither spare battery nor extra camera! I love searching Fort Hill Cemetery but I can only get there one weekend of the year.

your Gordon Gates request
I tried to respond to your Gordon Gates request at Fort Hill, Lynchburg, Virginia, yesterday. Unfortunately my camera and I both wilted from the heat before I got to the grave, and I won't be in Lynchburg again for another year. Sorry.

RE: Theadore Walter
Hi, I don't have any connection. I work on various projects and don't remember what it was at that time. I transferred both to you, better with family. Dave

Anna Dizerga/St. Johns
Hello. My husband and myself went to St. John's this morning to do photo requests. This was the hardest place to do a good quality photo. I do the photographing - and it was SO hard to do a photo that did not have my image reflecting in it. I took the photos at different angles, and will post them.
Also - I see that your last name is Tabor. My great grandmother was a Tabor - from New Bedford, Mass.

Massie Family Cemetery, Tyro, Va
I've updated the Massie Family Cemetery in Tyro, Virginia and added 16 more names to FINDAGRAVE. I used ancestry.com to add biographical information. I am working on obtaining permission to photograph the monuments.

RE: 80773937 Mary J Jones
Tina-The Mary J. (McCrary) Jones I am looking for married Charles L. Jones in 1865. Charles and 2 of their sons -Thomas and Gilbert are buried there. Do your records include which stones hers is near? I do not want to try to change the facts to meet my needs. Thanks for all of your hard work. I do not want to manage her page, but if we figure it out, T L Jones may want to, it is her line of Jones.

Dear Mrs. Ernestine Massie Tabor,

I do hope you, your husband and families had a great and merry Christmas.

On KIN:
Mrs. Julia Lincoln Waller 9-September-1917 13-December-1989

You may well know she was there with us in that world record flood of 1969. Do you know my Uncle T. Bland Harvey he was responsible in NASA too for so many Rocket launches. His MIL ( Mother -In-Law) Mary Loving , she took over as the Roseland US Postmaster from us. Mary Loving saw the Postoffice my Grandfather had built was smashed , washed away
and the safe fond down near Doctor Williams TYE Brook on our Suanders kin location. She had a horse and found a location where she could comminicate with the US Postal Department and told the man who answered that the Post office was gone and washed away that horrible summer day.
I was there and lost a lot of my familiy, kin , and friends. You may have seen my Grandaddy pictures in even the Militray papaers saying "Gods Will". He lost everything and his property was looted by laggards who were like poachers Maam.

The Mennonites were the only ones who helped us BTW!

Down near Thomas Fortune Ryans place and the Arrington USPS Office she lays Trinity Episcopal Church, P. O. Box 86, Arrington, Nelson County, Virginia.

Family ties in rural America is kind of like running around the vinegar jug..eh..

Please add me as your frioend on Finda hgrave.

Regards and love to the families,

Jonathan Robert De Mallie

Wheeler Family
Back again,
Saw you have Wheeler connections. Any connection with the Ira Wheeler who married Dorothy Tomlin Waller daughter of John Mercer Waller and Dorothy Tomlin Rowzie?

RE: Waller 96408482
We are not unacquainted. We shared information 10-15 years ago. My connection to Jefferson Monroe Waller is one of interest rather than a direct line. Jefferson's sister Lucy Elizabeth Waller is my 2nd great grandmother.
Martha M. A. Waller (signature on document at Library of Virginia) is the child of Aylett Waller a descendant of Edmund Waller and wife Mary Pendleton. Edmund Waller is a son of John Waller and Dorothy King. Martha as you know, married a "cousin," Thomas Carr Waller.
Thomas Carr Waller's father was Dabney Waller who was a descendant of John Waller and Agnes Carr. John was a son of John Waller and Dorothy King. Dabney Waller is sandwiched between 2 Thomas Carr Wallers. One is Dabbey's father and one is Dabney's son. It, as you know, can get confusing trying to get/keep the Thomas Carrs, Williams, Johns, and Benjamins sorted out. That's why I love Aylett Waller. Haven't found any others in my immediate line with this name. I am delighted you found a helpful clue on Jefferson's memorial. I'm sure both of us have added to our knowledge since we last corresponded. What is your direct line from Dabney? I would like to share and verify our findings/conclusions with each other.
Happy New Year,
Barbara
