After retirement I missed talking to people. Started assisting Crain Funeral Home in Newton. (backdoor neighbor) Found cemetery's interesting.|
Together With my Wife Wanda and very good friend Zeoy Nix, we tour the county looking and finding cemeterys. We normally work Jasper County only.

Interesting that the cemetery is named Matteson and there is only a 14 year old child there. Her parents were Esquire J. and Nancy Matteson.
Not sure if her father was the son of Ira A Matteson and Content Burr buried in Greenup Cemetery just north in Cumberland County.
There could be others there but don't know at the Matteson Cemetery.

Thanks for the photo. I am not able to locate the actual site of the cemetery using Google maps. I am finding the Poor Farm and the Brockville cemeteries but am not able to find it. Can you provide some coordinates?
