After retirement I missed talking to people. Started assisting Crain Funeral Home in Newton. (backdoor neighbor) Found cemetery's interesting.|
Together With my Wife Wanda and very good friend Zeoy Nix, we tour the county looking and finding cemeterys. We normally work Jasper County only.

Can you tell me if there is a record/publication of the Island Creek Cemetery. A family bible shows Joseph Mrlow being buried in another county but someone has added this below to Island Creek Cem. I have tried to contact the person that added the info but he will not reply. Can you help.

Thanks so much for posting this picture - - just noticed it. Have been to the cemetery a couple times but never seen this stone. Did you have to dig it out? Also have you ever visited the Persinger Grave Yard that is near Stoy? I know this is not Jasper County but have heard this is difficult to get to. Linda Babbs

Thank you so much for these photos; even their son Charles'. They were my G Grandparents and I never met them. Just about 100% of my Mother's side is/was from Jasper County. I am in El Paso, Texas and will not be able to ever get up there.
So thank you very much. Hugs.....
