Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi I'm Jay Follett.

I've been doing family history since about 1988. It's amazing what we can do know with digital technology and biology (DNA).

I'm researching my ancestors and their descendants:

Paternal: Kirby, Christoffersen, Follett, Niles, Morrill, Stokes, Hansen, Gibson, Woolf, Irons, Jorgensen, Sickles.

Maternal: Hamilton, Hester, Jones, Owens, Chandler, Copeland, Bartlett, Orr, Mitchell, Pond, Judd, Orr (among others).

I've also created many memorials for many unrelated people including many from local cemeteries in New Mexico and other places. If you want a transfer for any of these, let me know. Not really in it for the numbers or personal credit but more of a public service. It's not about me but them.

My fathers side of the family include pioneers and immigrants who joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Mom's side were southerners, mostly Baptists and Methodists, and include a few colorful characters.

I hope the legacy of my memorials will enable others to find and know their ancestors, to preserve our history and to honor those who have gone before us and made us who we are.

Thanks to the many photo volunteers, folks who have added details and links and others who have collaborated in this effort.

If you have corrections, additional information, pictures or would like to add links, let me know and your or I can add them to the memorials I have created.

You are free to use any photo or other data I have added for person use or for family history or for use on or other family history web sites.

I've tried to connect as may of my relatives as I can find in findagrave.

In addition to findagrave, also has my ancestors and their descendants in the tree jayfollett. I have around 12,000+ people in this tree (and growing).

Thanks and happy hunting.

P.S. When I started using findagrave there were less than 20 million names. Pretty amazing site.

I recently took DNA test and I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs a boost in identifying ancestors and their descendants.

U Holcomb @ StL Cavlary

This is just an FYI

There is no James Holcomb buried with her. For that matter is no J Holcomb buried in St Louis Calvary or any other StL Archdiocese cemetery.

This does not mean we wont look for her.

Cecil Irvin Follett
Jay ... hope yo can help. find A Grave has two entries for Cecil - yours in the Bird city cemetery and another #125601311 in the St Francis Cemetery.

The record for the request of a military headstone states that burial was in the St Francis Cemetery. Do you know which is correct?

I went to this cemetery and fulfilled your PR...but...I have good news and bad news. The gravestone of Edward Follet is on the ground and upside down. It is his because I have a copy of the Hale Listings that I use and know which gravestones are whose. Next to his gravestone is George Follet..his brother...who died in 1851.

Will post them both next,

RE: Edmund Spencer #54117824
Your more than welcome! I also looked for an obit for him, didn't have one but listed him as Edmund B. Thatcher Spencer and living in Logan at time of death. So he must've had two middle names!

Edmund Spencer #54117824
I was at Logan City Cemetery today fulfilling a few photo requests and one happened to be for Anna and Elijah "Fred" Spencer, kinda neighboring to Edmund Spencer and Ella Tryphinia Spencer..

The middle name is not the same as you have on the memorial as his military headstone, and his headstone has his death date as Jan. 8, 1955.. Is this the same person perhaps just a few minor errors? Please let me know and I will upload the photos of Edmund and Ella's headstone markers.

Transfer Request
Hi Jay,
I was wondering if you would transfer #64174599 Kirk Allen Ferdig to me. He's my dad. I appreciate your work in creating his profile and photographing his gravestone for Find a Grave. :)

Linda Sparks Massia
Nancy Casey White's father
I got this info from:

Elreeta Crain Weathers probably got the info from the Death Cert.

Looking at, I found the page for her at LCZQ-64J which shows her parents as Luther Aaron Casey and Iwana Hanna.

I've made that change on her memorial page at Find A Grave.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
