I retired from the Army of 21 years and I love to study and visit Civil / Revolutionary War Battlefields and visit the generals grave sites who served during those periods. Thanks to Find a Grave I am able to plan my trips accordingly. As the National Chaplain for the Disabled American Veterans 1.3 million member organization, I like helping those who cannot visit their family members in person by taking pictures for them in the area in which I live. I post veteran memorials on Find a Grave to pay tribute to their service, a way of honoring them for the sacrifice made to this country. If you have more information to post to a memorial I have created, send it to me and I'll add it or I'll transfer the memorial page. Photos taken by me for Find a Grave may be considered public domain and you are most welcome to use them.|

I have the muster cards in PDF format for the REAL William Newton Jester https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Jester-38
who served in Private, Company K, 46th Regiment, Alabama Infantry, Confederate and died in 1862 at Knoxville.
I have census records associated with him.
Also for William M. Jester who enlisted in Yadkin County, and https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Jester-718 He is the one who this grave is for, proven with his muster cards.

I was wondering if its possible that the Date of death on his marker is 1834 rather than 1831. All the documentation that I can find indicates that 1834 is the date. It is difficult to read on the photo so I just wondered if you might have a better idea.
Thanks so much!

I was looking at the changes you made for me on Rebecca Raines- (Thanks) and noticed the general grave yard picture you showed on this page.
If memory serves me right- that picture has W. Nathaniel & his wife Rebecca Jackson in it..facing the camera. I think I have almost the same shot. (From that spot) It was just interesting to me.

|Sandy Guthrey||Question about CSA Gravesite|
I took a picture not long ago of a CSA veteran's grave site in Harris County, Ga.
When you post photos, do you research that veteran's service and information on his family?
