I found that the Margaret Cronk who died in Humboldt, Iowa in 1911 isn't ours. After further research, I found that she had a different maiden name and was married to a George Cronk.

RE: Henry Goebel
You're welcome, Jackie. This family needs a little looking into. It's impossible to tell from the placement of the stones who's who.

On the larger stone, we have Henry (Sr.) and Catherine as mother, although she is unnamed. To the left we have first young Henry, then Mathilda (no last name). To the right, we have Anna with no last name.

We could be looking at three children, or Henry (Jr.) and a wife. Or two. And Anna, if she is a daughter as it appears, could have married or could have remained single. There is a grave space between Anna and her parents that does not appear to be occupied.

I tried to capture that in the photos, and hope that I have not now confused you. :)

RE: Margaret Allen ,
What I am suggesting is that you might have the wrong husband for Margaret Allen. Family Search (Iowa Marriages) has Maggie Allen, daughter of Morris Allen and Minerva Kelley, married to William M. Cronk on Oct 6 1884, in Lucas Co, IA. Minerva Allen's obituary (see Findagrave) states that her daughter, Margaret CRONK preceded her in death. Family Search's Iowa County Death Records shows a Margaret Cronk died 2 Dec 1911 in Dakota City, Humboldt Co., Iowa. I believe this could be her. She's listed as divorced in the 1911 census.
William Monson Cronk died Nov 16, 1917 in Danville, IL. He was living in the home for disabled soldiers and is buried in the Danville National Cemetery. I'm trying to do some newspaper research right now, but I haven't found anything so far. Let me know what you think.

Lloyd Earl Benjamin
His obituary gives place of burial...can you please update it. It also says he was born in Lebanon, Kansas? And gives some relatives. Thank you.

A funeral for Lloyd Earl Benjamin of Troutdale will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Bateman Carroll Funeral Chapel, Gresham.

Mr. Benjamin died Saturday in his home of liver cancer. He was 79.

He was born May 13, 1913, in Lebanon, Kan. He married Elda Lucile Fuller on July 12, 1933, in Smith Center, Kan. The couple moved to Oregon in 1950. Mr. Benjamin worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 28 years until his retirement in 1978.

He also had worked as a farmer for many years. Mr. Benjamin, a minister, and his wife helped to start the Joy Fellowship and had made many trips to Mexico.

Survivors besides his wife include his daughters, Elda Kennedy of Portland and Kathleen Cockrell of Troutdale; son, Lloyd O. of Portland; brothers, Clair and Roy, both of Smith Center, and Robert of Corbett; 25 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Mother of Oscar Dycus
Hi Jackie, I ran across the following conflicting information and wonder if you know which is correct:

"He is the son of Francis Marion and Sarah Ellen (Hibbett) Dycus".

Francis Marion Dycus (1850 - 1924)
Mary Dycus (1862 - 1947)
