Here is my story.

I was born in September of 1954. I have been researching my family members for over 15 years. My surnames include: Lee, Lea, Vance, Reese, Owens, McMannis, Files, Baker and so many more.

Do you ever feel like the little fish that was joyfully swimming around in the large pool when it bumped into a brick wall? The little fish said, "Oh, Dam!"

Do you sometimes wish you could go back in time to watch your ancestors as they moved from place to place. You would then know where they lived. You could observe them at work and going through their daily activities. And, wouldn't it be fun if you could listen in on their conversations?

That to me is what genealogy is all about! Please take the time to journal your family stories, I so wish mine would have!

Keep searching, you just never know what you'll find!

Permission to use photo
I would like your permission to use Headstone photo from Find A Grave #22649598 Edna Ray McManis Emerson for our family ancestry records. She is a 2nd cousin 1Xremoved of my husband. Will certainly give you the credit for the photo. Thank you for your work on Find A Grave. If I find other relatives for your photos could you agree for me to use them for the same purposes. joseph/john v ance
It's interesting that my grandfather John was born and died the same years as your Joseph. IF you look at john's wife Nancy's memorial 135976668 there is the Nancy's app for John's revolutionary war pension and he was born and died the same yrs. Also I notice that your Joseph was married to 2 Nancys? Can you help me? Thanks.

John /Joseph Vance
Can I please ask why when I am at John Vance's memorial 54125675 and click on son John D Vance's name it brings up John D Vance with an article that says he is the son of JOSEPH and Nancy Bradley Vance. I know my John Vance who is the father of my great, great, great grandfather Robert Vance was married to a Nancy, but she wasn't Nancy Bradley Vance. Tom Boelling has a lot of erroneous information about my Vances that I'm trying to get findagrave to correct since he won't.

Sarah Vance Morgan Memorial
I just wanted you to be aware that the memorial for Sarah Vance Morgan is a duplicate. There is actually 2 listings for the same cemetery. The memorial you are maintaining is under "Leuins Point Cemetery" but the original name of the cemetery is "Old Middletown Cemetery" which already has over 140 memorials including Sarah Morgan. I do not know how 2 listings where created for the same cemetery but yours is a duplicate. I have also sent a message to the original creator of Sarah's memorial. If you have any questions please send me a message. GT

Joel and Ella Everett
I just posted photos for Joel and Ella Everett at the Berry City Cemetery in Berry, Alabama. I created a memorial for Ella and if you would like me to transfer it over to you, just let me know and I will be happy to do so.

I tried to find Aldolphus Baker at the Alta Church Cemetery instead of the Mt. Joy Cemetery. Sorry about that! We all have our mixed up direction days! I will try and go over to Mt. Joy in about a month or so. I will also at that time try and get your requests at the Gibson Hill Cemetery.

Take care and God Bless you and your family!

Harrison Connection?
We are trying to locate our GG-Grandparents, John Berry LYON & Lelilia "Lettie" HARRISON LYON. Are you connected to these HARRISON family members? If not do you know of anyone who is researching these families?
