Hello, I'm a descendant of Susan Blackwell Ketterman,1832-1913 married to Jesse Ketterman father of Jacob Grant Ketterman, father of Charles Clarence Ketterman, the father of my grandmother Margaret M Ketterman who married Sam Audia. Susan is my 4 times great grandmother. I would like to know who owns, operates this cemetery, I've contacted the county and a few funeral homes in that area and no one has any ideal who owns and takes care of it. I'm trying to find out if Susan was indeed a Native American. I know there is no blackfoot tribe in that area to my knowledge but there was a Seneca tribe, Cherokee conoy, Delaware, Shawnee, Honniasont, Moneton Susquehanna and maybe sauk. I know that Susan was the Daughter of Lorenzo Rancil Blackwell and Catherine Elizabeth Dowdle both of Virgina. Most of the limited records I can find, indicate they were all Caucasian and not Native American but rather roots from Great Britain. I've also taken the Ancestry Dna test and found no trace of Native American in my dna. However, I did use GedMatch and their tool said I have 0.73% (less than 1%)Native American. Are there any other Descendants or family members of Susan and Jesse's that can verify that she was indeed a Native American? Was she married to a Native American at one point and they adopted her into the tribe, was she half Native or one of her Parents half Native? Does anyone have any pictures of her and or her parents. It seems as if there has to be someone out there that has a picture of birth certificate or something of hers, maybe handed down. Thank You Kindly, Mark Deshong from Michigan

Hi Richard, I am also a descendant of daniel's. he is my 4th great grandfather. My 3rd great grandmother was his daughter Elizabeth Simmons. Daniel had been married to Mary Shook. either through child birth or shortly after she died. then he married Barbara Alt. Elizabeth also had a sister Leah who is a possible twin. Elizabeth had been married twice. she married John Waybright (widowed)and then Harvey Simmons. she is buried at the Monterey cemetry

Hi. I am a Ketterman descendant planning to take a trip to the area in a few days. Do you still live in the area?

Hi Richard, I'm not a volunteer photographer for Find A Grave , but i live in Blue Springs, MO and do what I can to take the requested photos in that cemetery. The owner of the cemetery is very co-operative and that helps a lot.
I believe you had requested a couple of photos for Cora Warner & James Ketteman. I was able to get Cora's and her husband, but we cannot find a James Ketteman. I cleaned Cora's stone the best I could and hope the photo is better than the one that was on her page. I did take a few other photos of old stones thinking they wouldn't last much longer and found one for Maudy Lee Ketteman. I see it's already posted on Find A Grave , but resting beside it was a small stone that shows in the photo of Maudy's stone.
I did take a photo of it and it reads "Infant Son of Z D & E Ketteman 1891-1901. Kind of hard to tell if it is 1891 or 1897, but believe it's 1891.
If you'll email me at email@example.com I'll attach the photo and send it back to you.
Regards, Frank Hampton
