Hello Jim, I submitted three edit requests. To add his full date and place of death, his middle initial and for the Bio Section:
Civil War Veteran
First New YorK Volunteer Engineers
The source was his obit. Thanks for having created his memorial. Paul Turner

I'm curious as to your connection to this individual. I have the identical group photo, with the exception of labeling, provided by my grandmother, Donna Elizabeth Curie Mecham.

While Poughkeepsie Rural lists 19000+ names, I believe that is only a fraction of the burials there. An interesting note, James Bowne, whose monument you photographed, was instrumental in the establishment of the cemetery, and the removal to PR of the burials in the many small cemeteries scattered around town.
Have a great day,

Thanks so much for the photographs from Poughkeepsie Rural! Are you connected to these folks?

My grandfather, Bruce G. Crossman (1846-1917) served in the 128th Volunteers under Colonel Cowles during the Civil War. Happy to sponsor the Colonel. June Faulkner Crossman-Battisti
Thank you for the transfers
