Hi I'm Ann from Maine!

The old cemeteries in Maine have always fascinated me. As a child, one of my favorite times of the year was Memorial Day when as a Girl Scout I marched in the parade in my hometown, Yarmouth, and stood beside the graves of veterans while a lone bugler played "Taps."

This summer (2014), my husband and I have been on sabbatical. We are staying in Minnesota with my daughter and family. I was trying to find an activity that would hold my interest, get me outdoors, and if possible have a beneficial purpose. VOILA! I've had great fun with my GPS in hand traveling gravel roads and finding cemeteries. I love to take photos, so this "activity" is perfect.

I'm looking forward to being back in Maine in September and continuing. Hopefully I will get to discover more of my own roots.

I will gladly turn over to family members any memorials that I have set up. I will also gladly make corrections, deletions or additions to any memorial that I manage. My goal is to give away management of every memorial to someone who truly has a connection and regard for the person represented.
