Ready to transfer memorials, after all I'm not going to live forever. (smile)

So.... before making those edit requests, consider requesting a transfer. I will be happy to do so. For my direct ancestors I prefer a direct descendant take over management.

Please be careful with those headstone photographs you post. I do believe that if you cannot actually read the headstone in the picture, or if the inscription has not been recorded by the photographer to compensate for the degradation of the grave marker.... then it has not been a documented grave. And posting it.... uh, what's the point?

Lovely to see a sharp clear image that you can download and zoom in to read the dates and see the actual grave marker. For us genealogists and family historians it truly is a gift and treasure to have a photograph that is worthy of the memory of our ancestors and family members. So if you don't know what you are doing when it comes to photography, better to leave it to someone who does.

Double-check all your facts, be willing to click "Accept" on edit requests unless they contradict the facts, and be sure that what is posted can actually be read by others. My recent tussle was with a woman who posted an obituary that could not be read even at max zoom. What's the point of that? Don't post rubbish on memorials. Treat them with respect and dignity. They are OUR ancestors and family members, and if not ours personally.... they belong to someone's family somewhere.

Keep up the good work, findagrave is filled with lovely people who will often go about as far as possible to help someone else. I prefer to remember and appreciate them over the folks who can be a big pain in the you-know-what. So keep up the good work everyone, try to get along but don't take crap from anybody, either.

That's all. Peace out.
