|"The goal at Find A Grave should not be to manage all of your family members. If you have information to add, you should suggest it to the current manager and they should make the changes."|
~Jim Tipton, creator of Find A Grave.
"Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren".
I am happy to transfer within the guidelines and will make corrections and additions to those memorials which fall outside of the guidelines.
Please use the Edit Key for transfers and changes or corrections. Failure to utilize the Edit Key may unnecessarily delay your request.
I do make errors at times; unintentional, of course, but they're still errors! Don't hesitate to call these to my attention! Once in a while a duplicate will slip by me so let me know when you find one!

I made an error on John Roache. Correct middle name is not Patrick, correct middle name is Paul. Thank you for your assistance. #126089549. Have a lovely day.

Thank you for volunteering to take a photo of Allen's stone....There's an existing stone that he shares with his Dad and when the time comes, with his Mom as well. If his name is on the stone by now, then I'd love a pic, if not, I can wait until it is. Would you like me to cancel the request for now? or just check on him occasionally if you're in the area? I'm fine either way His Dad:
June 30, 1935
Nov 20, 2011
Unfortunately I don't have the exact location of the stone.
Thank you for your contributions to Find-A-Grave!

Thank you Glora Dei for the information. That's a valuable article and obit. lost to the family. I'm still looking for her burial site. Thanks again.

Hello, my name is Julia and Sarah is my Great Grandmother. I would like to know if you could transfer her memorial to me?
Thank you - Julia
|Katharine P. Pyott||Alice Parr (1867-1938), #175394772|
I have been making records of my relatives' listings in Find A Grave and am currently looking at my great aunt Alice Parr. (Just for the record, her father, James, was born in BOND County, IL.) I was about to ask if you would transfer her memorial to me, but then I saw that the Find A Grave guidelines want me to be a direct descendant; since she never married, she doesn't HAVE any direct descendants. She was one of twelve children, and since I am very familiar with the extended family, I am trying to help get them linked. If you would be interested in transferring her to me, I would be glad to take her.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I deleted her memorial. I try to check before I add memorials but sometimes I overlook some. Keep on keeping me in line. Sorry it has took me so long to get back to you. We have been out of town spoiling at our new Great-Grand baby.

I didn't know there was a "normal" way. For the memorials I've been maintaining, I've been listing the surnames in marriage order. I've found that FindAGrave is a great resource when used with Ancestry.com, so I try to include as many surnames as possible in FindAGrave, as well as any other information I can verify through other soruces. I'll defer to you on the order since it's your memorial. Thanks again.

My update is based solely on information that I have found on Ancestry.com and GenealogyBank.com, and I submit these edits to make searching easier for others.
I have no first hand knowledge of the Fowler name. My update is based on the following...
- Deborah's mother's (Janet's) family tree on Ancestry.com shows that Deborah was married prior to marrying Bernard Marshall, but it doesn't show a last name since he is still living. Janet and I had a DNA match on Ancestry.com, which is how I found her information in the first place.
- According to the marriage record on Ancestry.com, Deborah's last name was Fowler when she married Bernard Marshall in 1996.
- According to U.S. Public Records Index on Ancestry.com, one of Deborah's last name was Fowler.
- According to Deborah's obituary on GenealogyBank.com, she has a daughter named Rebecca Fowler.
I hope this clarifies my edit, and I apologize for any confusion. Thank you for making the update.
