Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have lived all my life in Indiana with the exception of a few short stays in Maryland, Colorado, and California. Indiana will always be home to me.

My mother, Margaret Patsy Moore Carr, got me started doing genealogy in 1995. I have to admit, I wasn't excited about the idea of researching dead people. But after our first day out, I was hooked. Mom was called home in 2006, I really miss our genealogy trips. We traveled to many cities in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana together. She had a wonderful zest for life that made these trips so special. My father, Roland Frances Carr, was always eager to hear the tales of our genealogy finds. He was a big help with the many stories he told me as I was going up. Dad was called home in 2004. I miss them more than words can say.

I am researching all branches of our tree.

Paternal side: Carr, Flynn, Latchaw, Burkett, Overmyer, Von Auw, Ludwig, Fromman, Bitters, and Bower.

Maternal side: Moore, Snider, Hattery, Hall, Hill, France, and Tidd.

I am also researching my husband's family: Morcombe, Martin, Duncan, Hartshorn, Hutchison, Snedden, Forgey and Ellis.

Carr Cousin
Greetings, cousin Robin!

My grandmother's maiden name was Carr, and it seems we share a Carr at some point. Does your ancestor James Carr have a brother Reuben? My line is Reuben > Charles Lee Carr > Arthur Carr > my grandmother Naomi. I have Reuben with siblings including a James Carr as issue of Jehu John Carr and his wife Sara Fultz.

Reuben married Naoman Morris, daughter of Patterson Morris. I see there has been some confusion on the parentage of Patterson Morris. Do you have information on this? This is a line where I've become fairly stuck.

I would be happy, of course, to share any information I have on the Carr/Fultz/Morris/Borrer families we have in common. Genealogy is a collaborative effort, after all! Feel free to respond at your leisure to my Find A Grave page or by the email listed on my page.

I would love to get in touch!

Odd thing happened Christmas Eve, I has flu symptoms with some chest pain for several days so I went to the ER. The Dr. that I saw was Patrick Dougherty.
I didn't ask if he knew of Bertha.

Bertha
Not related, just find it interesting to do a little research on the people I get headstones of. I have found some relatives that way. Never thought to look for a different spelling. So they have her marrying two different guys spelled Rider/Ryder. Wonder if that first marriage happened?

Well good luck with your search, hope I have luck with the headstone as the section she is in has a lot of unmarked graves.

Marriage record above says she was born in Missouri. Age was 16, someone wrote over the birth year on her death record.
