Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching my family lines since 1986 and doing other lines as well for others.
I Retired as elected as National Genealogist for Clan Cunningham Intl (CCI)
I followed my Mother's and my Grandmother's footsteps in doing family research, but much got lost when they died.
I discovered FindaGrave.com years ago and have found answers to many needed questions.
A co-operative effort by several volunteers is the adding of names and photos to Bartlett City Cemetery in celebration of Memorial Day.
Still in progress as time permits.
I too add missing facts to other memorials from my family as I continue to research.

RE: George John Hempel
Yeah, mistakes happen. I know I've made a few, unintentionally. At least they're fixable! :)

RE: Lost contact
RE: >>Thank you. I got the connections from the lady I asked you about. She sent me the birth and marriage details without the complete sources. I had nothing at the time, but in adding them to Wikitree checked FindaGrave,
Bingo I don't have the church records to back up her info sent me, But much is on FG.
I will make the connections here as well as Wikitree.
Trying to clean house before going to nursing home.
39 years of that, much unsourced by today's standards,
Jon<<

Thanks for telling me about Wikitree, Jon, but I'll probably never take time to post yet a whole nuther genealogy...wish they would've been around 20 years ago!

So weird about "sourcing" as I mentioned in my bio...us who used family knowledge are said to be "unsourced," but then when others copy us, their "source" is US...go figure.

I have such a great friend who's in his 90s...sure hope you never quite your family search. Some years ago, I came to the point of face recognizing several more ancestors from Door County than my mother could...and she had thrown out lots of pix because she didn't know who the subjects were...fie and shucks!

RE: Lost contact
Sorry, Jon ~ I know nothing more about the Hempels and am not related. I joined the Ephraim Historical Society because my Brodd family lived there, and the society passed me records of all the known burials in the Moravian Cemetery (unfortunately included nothing of the Brodds whereabouts) ~ then I simply posted them online, but did try to figure out their connections to each other.

Jon,

I was to find out that Hempel is her married name and she died in Corpus Christi, TX.

You might find what you need at the Corpus Christi Library. There was a funeral notice in the paper dated December 23, 1973, page C, 13C
