Yes that's his parents. Looks like I'll have to update in batches. Just a newbie. Glenn Long

PVT Charles Robert Smedley (1880-1919)
You added a newspaper article and a picture of the headstone to the submission for this person. I am sending this message to you instead of to III, because III has their message disabled.

My question: Where does the middle name "Robert" come from? All the supporting documents I can find for this person only lists the name as "Charles Smedley". I would love as much information as possible on this person for me to confirm they are the one I want to add to my tree. Thank you.

The following was submitted by "III".

Charles Elias Rohe
Thank you for helping me find my biological great grandfather. Charles was married a short time to my great grandmother-Anna Valborg Lindquist in 1907. They had a son Howard Elias Rohe (Long) in 1909. Howard was adopted by Anna's second husband,
Walter F. Long.

Charles and Anna lived in St Paul Minnesota and Fargo North Dakota. Charles then moved to Winnipeg and married Madeline Ertz in 1914.

You helped confirm his burial info.

Thank you for taking the photos and updating his records for me. I'm far away in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Cemetery picture
Thank you so much for the picture of the cemetery where Elizabeth O'Sullivan is buried. She is my great grandfather's sister. I wondered whether or not she would have a head stone marker or not. I know a lot of her children are also buried in the same cemetery. I am trying to explore that family line more to see if any of my cousins remain. I believe that most of Elizabeth's children never married. Elizabeth's father and mother are buried in Calvary Cemetery in Seattle, Terence & Maria O'Brien. If you're interested in reading the story behind their tombstone it is linked under my findagrave member profile. Thanks again! Someday I want to make a visit up there.

gravestone photos for Ernest Miller
Thank you Betty and Dan for your work in photographing graves and adding them to this site. I am new to genaeology and it was such a treat to find photographs already online for my dad's gravestone. With much appreciation, Susanne

RE: Jeannette Ross Clement grave at Ross Bay Cemetery
Thank you for the additional information. I asked because most records have her first name as Janet. She is the person I am wishing to connect with her parents and siblings.

Thanks again,

RE: Family history of Arthur A Lee
Hi Betty & Dan

Very many thanks for your work involved in my request.
I've downloaded the attestation papers, and was amazed at the details that were available with his service records.. such good quality too.
How brave the men were, and their families, first settling in a new continent, then going to war shortly after, leaving wives & babies.
I'll follow up the last contact, many thanks.
