Merge Duplicate Cemeteries
Betty & Dan; Thanks for your assistance to merge the Celista and North Shuswap Cemeteries. I submitted the merge request to Find A Grave and the merge is now complete. Would you like to maintain ownership of the Blake Memorials? I'm willing to transfer them back to you. Cheers, Don

Thanks for the Response
Betty & Dan. Thanks for the quick response concerning the duplicate entries in the Celista and the North Shuswap Cemeteries. I'll contact Find A Grave to sort out this duplication. Cheers, Don

Charles & Mildred Blake
Hi Betty & Dan. Last week I was taking photos in the North Shuswap Cemetery and recorded the grave photos for Charles (1870-1989) and Mildred (1883-1963) Blake.

There is duplicate memorial for the Blake's in the Celista Cemetery. I believe that these are the same cemetery with different names, but the sign on the entrance is called the North Shuswap Cemetery.

I'm not the owner of either of these cemeteries, but I think that these cemeteries should be combined. Cheers, Don

Ross Bay Photos
Dear Betty and Dan,

I was amazed to receive a personal email from you including the "chalked" image of the gravestone for Percy Shrimpton. This is the first time any Find A Grave contributor or photographer has actually sent me a personal note. You do your work a great credit.

Kind regards,

Dana Pereau

Once again Betty and Dan, you are excellent in your work. Thanks so much for the photos, and of course for going above and beyond in posting his obituary. As a researcher, this is so appreciated. Cudos to you both. Dana Pereau

RE: Hugh MacKay
Hi again,

I have asked the owner of the memorial to transfer them to me, however I have not heard back either way, which makes me concerned that perhaps the person is not longer active on Find a Grave. Usually, people respond back almost immediately. Do you know who the owner is?

RE: Charles Roper grave at Ross Bay Cemetery
Thanks so much for helping with the Roper family. Although no stones - you went beyond by posting the obituaries. Regards, Lynn

RE: Hugh MacKay
Thank you for the information and correction on the locations. As I mentioned, I'm working with a friend whose grandmother and great-grandmother these two women related. I wonder if you would be so kind as to transfer them to me so I can maintain them for her? She is a senior citizen and does not use a computer much. She was thrilled to receive the obit for Hugh and will be even more thrilled with the one for Margaret! We work together at a library (she is a 40-year volunteer and I am a librarian) and I will give that to her next week when she is in. If it's easier to communicate via email, you can reach me at Thank you again!
