|Bio and Links|
I am the sixth child of Solomon James Barber and Pearl Bernetta Clark Barber. I grew up in Bay City, Michigan. The surnames for my immediate ancestors are: Barber, Barr, Clark, Harder, and Nelson. |
The memorials that I currently manage were created by me or were transferred to me because I am researching the surname, they are in my area, and/or a member who created them went inactive. If I have a memorial that you would like to actively manage, please do not hesitate to ask me to transfer it to you--using the "Edit" function set up within Find A Grave.
Of special interest to me is T. L. Handy High School, Bay City, Michigan. Alumni from Handy are helping me create memorials for our teachers, classmates, and extended Handy Family.
Seeking Information: The profile picture is of an unidentified "friend" on left, with Daniel Willison Clark, Sr. (DOB: 03/07/1888) on right. Taken approximately 1908. My grandfather was reportedly born in South Bend, Saint Joseph County, Indiana on March 7, 1888. His adoptive mother was 47 when Dan was born, so we believe she was not his biological mother. Very little is known about Dan's early years. The records for that time period were destroyed in a fire. His birth certificate was created in 1954, using school records from when he was about 7 years old while a student in South Bend. By the time he was 12 he was living in Michigan with Lucy M. Clark. Any information you might give would be appreciated. I have taken a DNA test. Several matches "might" lead to relatives of my grandfather. He was believed to have had several siblings.
