Photos at Mt. Hebron Cemetery
Thank you Cheryel and Larry for the photos of Ella
Maud Mangum's grave. I was so surprised when I heard about it.All the time she was right next to her sister, Geneva. I had a picture of her grave, but couldn't see who was buried next to her. The pictures are excellent.

I see you took the picture of Geneva Beatrice Christian tombstone. She has a sister buried there named Ella Maude Mangum mem# 176984201. I would love a photograph of her grave. She is very special to me. Her mother and stepdad is buried there and her grandmother Mahulda Kirkland. I have a photo request out for Ella's grave. She died July 20, 1957 and was born Feb. 12, 1904. Let me know if you can do it? I will be forever grateful!

I took some photos while roaming around this cemetery and when I viewed this memorial I saw photographs had already been added. Your photos were "absolutely beautiful" of Mr. Runyans gravesite. Thanks for your willingness to be a Find A Grave volunteer/photographer! Christmas blessings, Nancy

Which William H. Smith
I am a great grand nephew of Captain Bill Smith. According to his death certificate, he was buried in Sylone cemetery. Clearly the military headstone that fits his service (except the Captain part) is in Pettusville, and he did live there for a while.

To make matters more confusing, there was a Wiliam Harrison Smith, who was born in 1838, died in 1924, lived in Pettusville Alabama and fought for an Arkansas regiment in the war, just as Captain Bill Smith did. (his name was William H. Smith as well, he just went by Bill). William Harrison Smith is also buried in Pettusville cemetery and his grave has a military-supplied headstone.

Do you have information that says Captain Bill Smith is buried where the stone listed on this memorial indicates?

I appreciate any information.

My ancestors, James Burrell Bass, James Burrell Bass, Jr. and Mary E. Griffin Bass are buried in Bass Cemetery in Jefferson County. Are their headstones still standing? If not, does anyone have pictures of the headstones before they were destroyed? Is there a plot of the cemetery? If so, where is it located? I need to confirm the birth and death dates listed on findagrave. I am grateful for any information you can give me.

Unknown Tombstone at Bass Cemetery
Hello, I noticed you created quite a lot of memorials for Bass Cemetery in Irondale. I have a photograph of a tombstone that I'm unable to find a memorial for. I searched by the first name "Andrew", that is all I can read of the tombstone. It's possible another first name is listed for the memorial. Can you tell me if you recognize this one? If there isn't already a memorial I'd be happy to make one. Thank you!

Name: Andrew
Born: April 28, 1884
Died: July 5, 1899

It appears to say "Our Father" at the top, but the stone is broken and hard to read. The dates show the person to only have been 15 when he died, so the "Our Father" seems odd, unless it's speaking of God.
