LET SLEEPING DOGS LIE!!!|
I really hope that we will have a choice between using the old format and the new format for this website, because I really do NOT like working with the new version.
My purpose in doing this is to see as many people who are no longer with us remembered and connected to their family members.
I DO believe in connecting those people to their relatives whether their place of burial is known or not. They existed, they are DEAD, and they also have a right to be remembered, and to be included with the rest of their family. They are still very important links in a family´s genealogy, especially as Find A Grave is tied to Ancestry--which makes it all the more important.
I do research the people that I add to Find A Grave as best I can---sometimes spending many hours to find info about them. I am not in this to try to see how many entries I can get, to compete with anyone, to play games, or to try to outdo anyone. What information I come up with, I dig up on my own. I do not go behind anyone´s back and take credit for anything that I didn´t find myself---and I wouldn´t do anything to discredit another person´s work unless they did something to REALLY deserve it, nor would I take credit away from someone else. Unfortunately it seems that everybody does NOT think like I do.

Hi, thank you so much for your contributions!
Can you please share how you found the portrait for Sarah "Sallie" Foght Burt, #60311606 ?
How do you know it is her?

Thank you for the prompt reply & for her memorial page. You might be interested in her recollections of the early history of UNCG as recorded in this 1981 interview:

OK, I'll take care of it. Thanks.

I was just wondering if you had any background information on Scott Price and his family. His son Lonnie was living with my great great Aunt and was listed as a cousin and I have been trying to find out how they were related.

Thanks for replying. I emailed you sometime at the end of last year. The Scott Price I'm looking for would have been black or listed as mulatto at one time. He had a son named Lonnie. Lonnie lived with my great great aunt Alverta Price Roberts and was listed as a cousin. My Price line is white but their fathers are black. I was able to trace Lonnie to Scott and Scotts mother would have been named Caroline. Im trying to determine how they would have been related. Thanks for any info.

He was cremated. I have added him to Mt. Carmel.

Hmmm...are you using the new website or the old? I've noticed some weird problems like that on the new one. If you can't get it to work, just delete the cooredinates and I can add them back later. The coordinates are not that important anyway, as the plot is pretty easy to find with a map and the existing pictures as a guide.
While we're at it, here is the information on others buried at the same location:
Charles J. C. Loewenstein: 8/13/1853-?
Annie E. Loewenstein: 9/3/1854-10/24/1901
Michael Loewenstein(son of Charles J. D. and Elizabeth): 7/6/1908-1/2/1912
Catherine A. Fink: 10/1/1886-1/16/1929
If you would like to create memorials for these, I am happy to upload the photos.
