Deb even if the cemetery happened to know there was a temporary stone they would still report the grave site as unmarked. Only a family placed memorial stone will be cause the notation that a grave has a marker

Aren't we lucky when we get the cemetery placed temporary stones when a family choices not to mark a grave.

Please allow me to defend the cemetery office. Eva does not have a family placed headstone. The picture is of a small cement temporary stone placed by the cemetery. There are many of these stones throughout the cemetery and thankfully they give us a bit of information for your records.
So glad the you enjoy the picture

RE: Benjamin Green
I'm not sure who is in charge of the cemetery. I have been there several times and have never seen anyone. The cemetery is pretty much in the middle of nowhere, on a steep hillside, beside an old church that's no longer in use. I think this was originally the church cemetery. There are very recent burials there also, so someone should know something. Maybe a funeral home in the area?

RE: Benjamin Green
My Dad and I both searched the cemetery twice and could not find the stone. Thinking maybe it was removed since it was no longer standing? If that's the case, I hope they will repair it and return it. Was going to look again, but it started to rain. Sorry I couldn't find it. Not sure when I'll get back over there, but if nobody finds it. I'll look again when I return.

Hi Deb,
I am going over to Monroe Valley Cemetery tomorrow and will try to get a photo so you can read what is on his stone. I'll claim it when I get the photo. Just letting you know I'm on it :)

Vary good! They do have a stone. I didn't know if they would.
Thank you vary much for putting a memorial for Fletcher on. Also the photos of my Aunts and his stone.
God Bless
