Thanks Marty!! We're doing well and hope all is well in Mexico. Daughter Wendy is on her way there right now to watch the eclipse and look in on her dad Randy. Thanks again for initiating the site...always think about your first little one and how young you were to have to go thru that, then to have to be a young widow!!

|Ellen Jane ||RE: Lily E.G. Hendrix|
Yes, the name Hendrix seemed to be a major problem for all types of records like death, military and census. One decade they are Hendricks the next they are Hendrix... It is as though they said the name and the person taking information just spelled it in any manner they wanted and never bothered to ask if it was correct. I see it all the time. It is why I go out of my way to find anything and everything on each person I can find. I was once told I spend too much time seeking unimportant information. That I have too many trivial things. I think a genealogy with just bare facts is sad who wants a life lived pared down to bare facts and a photo or two? Weren't their lives worth it? I certainly want to be remembered for more than my birth, death and marriage. My web page for Lily is below feel free to use the information on it. I ask only for a citation when you do:) Check back occasionally for new stuff:) The home page gives a listing of the newest changes. Your work is truly admired, respected and appreciated, you do so much for so many and ask so little. Deep thanks for all you do, Ellen Jane
No problem! I appreciate you copying Alice's obituary onto her memorial. Richard Menifee Dobyns is my 2x great grandfather, and he is listed as her brother. I also appreciate your quick response!
I enjoy searching newspaper obits and articles, so you may be hearing from me from time to time. Take care, and thanks again.

Thank you Ms. Campbell for processing the edit for Mr. Malone promptly. It is nice to know he is now electronically linked to more of his family so people can locate more of their family.

# 101485674, Lllian Elizabeth Graves "Lily" Hendrix
This ladies name was "Lily Elizabeth Graves Hendrix".
I understand that you would need proof of this.
In early census records she is listed as Lizzie. One census lists her as "E. G." The books she wrote, a poem she composed and had placed on a funerary card about her brother in law, a newspaper article, her will, her death certificate and her headstone have her as Lily E.G. Hendrix. I have never found anything that listed her as Lillian except for several errant genealogy's that listed her as married with children. (She was blind, single and childless) Please if you have some information I haven't found yet that states her name as Lillian could you share it? If not would you please correct her name on the page?
Thank you very much for your time and effort.
Ellen Jane (named after Lily's sister my great grandmother.)

Thank you so much for the transfer. I haven't been working on Find A Grave like I would like, I have been ill and family problems but am going to start doing more. Thanks again Marsha
You will hear from me again. The Miller side is in Elmwood, too!
