I'm originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. I entered the U.S. Army in 1971 and have been away form "home" most of the time since. I graduated from Utah State University in 1981 and retired from the Army in 1994.I have lived in Carter County, Tennessee longer than any place else and have learned to love this place and it's history. In addition to filling photo requests, I am working on getting accurate map locations for all the Carter County Cemeteries.|

Loyal...Tell your wife that I am a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Julius Dugger,is one of my Revolutionary Patriots. There is a DAR Chapter named after him in Johnson County.
I remember Elizabethton being a very charming city. I've been to the Julius Dugger Cemetery three times. My grandmother, Celia "Isaacs" Stokes and great-grand parents, Marion and Mildred Caroline "Dugger" Isaacs are buried there. Celia "Isaacs" Stokes died when my mother was 7 years old. Many of the Isaacs family members went to Indiana manly for work opportunities. My mother lived with her grandparents, Marion and Mildred Caroline Isaacs, until they died and then she was sent to live with an Aunt in Vincennes, Indiana.
|Patricia Herrin Mitschelen ||RE: Edna Smith|
Thanks, Loyal! Do you live in Carter or Johnson County, TN? My direct descendants are the Dugger and Isaacs families. Of course, they all married within all of the other local families, so I'm related to just about everyone...Pat

Thanks for the great photos taken at Fitzsimmons Cem. Do you happened to have the one of Benjamin Drake that died Jan 1 1827? You have a different one posted on his findagrave https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=104512813 That is a Benjamin Drake died 15 July 1827 and it looks like it's a child. I added the memorial for him. Could you please move photo to https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=175915793 ? Thanks Kelly
