Clyde Mangum (81416808)

Do you know if Clyde Mangum and his wife were members of Zion Hill Baptist Church?

He is a 2nd or 3rd uncle of mine and I have him in my family book. I wanted to include that little bit of information in the family book. A lot of family/ancestors are buried at Zion Hill.

Thank you,

Benfield family
Larry, I have several memorials that I created for members of the Benfield family, which I would be more than happy to transfer to you if you wish.

I am not related, but started researching and adding memorials for the family after I had come across them while doing genealogy research for a friend of mine. The connection to her family is not a close one (a 4th cousin married someone from the Benfield family). Two Benfields I have memorials for at the moment are Ralph and Connie, children of Gilbert and Emma Benfield.

Please let me know if you would like the transfers, or if not, if there is any information you would like me to add to the memorials, either of which I am more than happy to do.

RE: Margaret S. Smith, Goshen Cemetery
Hi, Larry,

I just realized I never followed up on this... Were you ever able to check with the lady to see if she had any pics of Lewis Isaac Smith or Sarah Ann Rumfelt, his wife?

RE: Margaret S. Smith, Goshen Cemetery
I'm 44 and have enjoyed researching this stuff. I wish I could get the rest of my family interested in it. Maybe my kids will.

I'm not sure how to link them. I'll have to look into that.

Just let me know which ones you would like me to transfer to you. They're not my direct line so you are welcome to them.

Also, pix of Lewis would be great!

Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

Sorry it took so long to transfer this memorial. I've been out of town. Great photos you have added. I live near the cemetery so if there is anything I can help you with please let me know.

RE: Margaret S. Smith, Goshen Cemetery

I have transferred management to you as requested.

John B. is a relative. I have many Smith and Beaty relatives in Goshen Cemetery. I was born in Charlotte myself. Live in Houston now.

Lewis Isaac Smith, John B's brother, was my GG Grandfather. A cousin went to Goshen and took pix of headstones for me. As I was adding them to MyHeritage, I was struck by the losses that John B and his wife went through. Two the same day and one two weeks later. Do you have any idea what happened to them? I assumed illness but I also wondered if it could have been war related.

I would like to add the photo of John B to Ancestry if you don't mind.

Also, do you have any other pictures of his siblings or parents? I'd love to have one of Lewis Isaac.

Computer glitched. I meant to tell you that I transfered your grandmother over to your care.
God Bless, MJ
