If anyone has anything to add to a memorial I've made PLEASE let me know and I will be glad to add the information! I Love to link their parents to each memorial or have their obituary to add.|
I'm interested about who my ancestors were and how they may have influenced who I am today. I am also researching my husbands ancestors and am learning as much as I can to pass on to our daughter. It's also fascinating to learn about the many different church backgrounds they all have had. Still searching in PA!!
I found this through a friend:
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.
Walter Butler Palmer

No problem and Thanks!
|Wendy Stum Corbett||Sarah Ann Miller Meals|
I think that the Sarah Ann you created a memorial for is the same person as "Sarah A." memorial# 128836575. This Sarah has a husband Jeremiah, and is buried at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. I didn't see a gravestone on your memorial, so I don't know if you placed it in Mt. Zion Cemetery (Churchtown) because of other knowledge, or if the "Zion Cemetery" on her death certificate might refer to the Lutheran Church Cemetery instead.
I do not know his date of birth and going by the date of death, it is probably not on his tombstone. As you know, I did look in the section for his tombstone last Saturday, but did not find it. I found a bunch of other Frenchs in the next section over and added pixs to them. Sorry.
The office at Fair View is very nice. Perhaps they could find it for you. Also here is a link to the Middletown Public Library website, which has the Red Bank Register on-line, maybe you can find and obit or death notice.
thank you for your kind expression of sympathy.

Oh, we all make mistakes. Take care!
|Karl Stelly||RE: Evelyn L. Smith|
It is on the page for Edith V. Sterner Smith. Memorial number is 127843860. I should have given you the number to begin with. Sorry!
|Karl Stelly||Evelyn L. Smith|
I just noticed that you posted a photo of Evelyn Smith's headstone. But, the dates don't match. I believe you may have added the photo to the wrong person's memorial page. Just wanted to let you know.

Very sad. She is the wife of my 2nd cousin 1x removed. I used to see here often at our Family Reunions.
