Ever since I was a very small child I've been fascinated with cemeteries and headstones - many of them are true artistic works, and moving to New England I found that to be extremely true of the 18th century ones.
I believe it's important to document what we can, stones deteriorate and even disappear over time and there is no memorial left for those that passed on before us or their relatives to see. This is why I became a contributor to this site.
