Hi-- anyone who is interested, I grew up on the farm that had the foundation stones left from the fire of the Johnny Clark place near Centerville KS. My father Gordon Gorrell took us kids up there often and told of the story of the fire in the winter storm. One story was that there was some type of furniture that blocked the exit for the kids to escape, but Elmer was rescued. He was placed in the hay pile to keep him warm in the freezing precip. Being of a 'simple mind' Elmer ran back into the burning house and perished there also.

You are welcome, my wife and I were driving to Nauvoo today and she spotted the cemetery off the highway and wanted to know more about it. I showed her how to access my FindAGrave app and she saw that there were 3 photo requests listed. Jeremiah Johnson the mountain man was one of my favorite movies, so my attention was caught, she saw the young age of the Manuel boys when they died (less than 1 year old) and that caught her attention and she wondered about them. She suggested that on our way home we stop and try to find them. None of the 3 headstones were hard to find. I was looking for an older weathered stone for Jeremiah but I saw this large headstone that resembled a book on a podium so I took a look and it was Jeremiah and his wife's stone. The weather was very overcast and the photo did not turn out as clear as I would have hoped. I should be back by the area in about a month and I will try for a better photo.
I see the other listing for Jeremiah Jefferson Johnson and his wife listed in the Monmouth Cemetery. The one photo for Jane Johnson does not show the correct death date as is listed on the memorial. Maybe you can contact the person that posted the Monmouth Cemetery entries and merge the information into the correct memorial at the Asbury Cemetery.

I found your photo request for this individual in the Highland cemetery in Iola. He is buried in the Iola city cemetery. He wasn't listed there either, so I made a memorial for him and added a photo of his stone. If he is your relative, I would be glad to xfer management of the memorial to you. Let me know, thanks.
Hi, I sent you a message via email. It will come from klassikat or firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to check your SPAM folder as well. Good Luck!!! :)

Thanks for the records you have added to Find A Grave. I do have question regarding dates for Jemima. Year of death in Pierce County doesn't match with date on the photograph that is attached.
|Candy Wood||Austin Texas Kidwell|
Thanks for your efforts. The person who created the memorial posted a nice clear picture on Austin's & his wife's memorials.
Did you want management of them as they are your ancestors? Just send me a request if you do.

Thank you for the connections, however the one for the husband was the same memorial as her Father so I looked for Wilson and saw I did one for a W A Bell, I'm hoping that is the one you meant. If not please let me know!

No, no relation here. I'm just getting all the memorials online for the Powell, Wyoming cemetery and I love to get everyone linked to their parents, children, etc. :)
