I do this to help others looking for family members...in that regard:|
Please keep any communications civil, and I shall do the same.
I always try to check for duplicates before and after posting, but sometimes miss them. Just politely let me know if you find a dupe.
I am very glad to make edits to memorials if you have extra information to add...transfers do not need to be made to achieve the goal of adding to a memorial.
I appreciate those of you who take pictures, I know it takes work...on that note, please do not post a picture to my memorials just to get credit, ESPECIALLY if I have already posted a perfectly good picture. I am finding that some of the newer members are going out and taking pictures just to get credit when I already have perfectly good pictures posted on memorials. This takes up valuable space for photos of the deceased that family or friends might want to add.
PLEASE NOTE: Please follow FAG guidelines and provide familial relationship AND your member # when requesting transfer of a memorial. If no details are provided OR the request is not CLEAR, it WILL be ignored.

|Carol Busboom||RE: Wear memorials: Andrew Cemetery|
Thanks, Barb! I'll still send an edit if I have "other" information, such as maiden names, parent's links, dates different from the marker, etc, but I won't pay attention to duplicated memorials, if I see more. One last question: there are several, maybe more, where a memorial page was created based on the marker, and I'm not certain they have passed. Usually it's on a "double" marker where their spouse has passed. I have been sending the suggestion that the information needs to be checked and the memorial deleted if they are still alive. This could also be caused by others doing the transcribing. Just so you know. Thanks Carol
|Holly J Van Ostrand||Kenneth E Van Ostrand|
There is a Kenneth E Van Ostrand (1925-2000) buried in Bradshaw NE and a Rev Kenneth E Van Ostrand (1925-2000) buried in York NE. Would someone please check this information to see if it is the same person? Could he have been creamted and split between the two cemeteries?
Thank you, Holly J Van Ostrand

I see that you added information for him. I have found a Polk Lewis (James K Lewis) who married Sarah (Sallie) Marcum on 30 Dec 1888 in Doniphan county, Kansas. What is your source for his father's name and his second's wife's marriage date?

I believe the above is my great-great grandmother and sister to Christina. My grandmother separated from the family when her daughter died In Bayard, NE; and son in law remarried.
She immigrated as a widow with daughter Elizabeth and her son Phillip Kniss 1890's to Lincoln. They lived 915 New Hampshire St. All children to Elizabeth and Phillip were born in Lincoln. Later Phillip took his family to Bayard as sugar beet sharecropper. His wife Elizabeth , my great grandmother, died during pregnancy. In Scottsbluff a year later the city directory shows him, his kids and mother in law. After that he remarried and stayed in the general area...greeley co. CO. Heard that his oldest daughter Elizabeth, my great aunt, went to live with the grandmother in Hastins NE area and also that she remarried but don't have any information further. My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org

You're an angel; thank you for taking time out of your day to do this for me. I hope everyone on Find A Grave understands and appreciates the good work you and others like you do for all of us. I hope I can pay it forward. Coffee's on me if I make it to York.
Thanks very much for volunteering and the nice photo. It allowed me to correct the spelling of her name and also add the dates. Thanks again
|Sandy Troutman||Troutman & Kohn families in Greenwood Cemetery, York, NE|
Hello. My name is Sandy and my member number is 48471581. We were up in York last month (from Texas) for a family reunion and stopped by the cemetery to take pictures. When we got home, I noticed that several of the memorials had already been added to Find A Grave. Thank you very much for taking that on. I appreciate it. I'm writing to ask if you would be willing to transfer these memorials to me. Below are the names of the ones I know of and have photos of. We were limited on time, so I wasn't able to get all of them.
Lester Luther Troutman, Ida Pearl Kohn Troutman, Thomas B. Kohn and Ida B. Kohn are his grandparents from both sides of his father's family. William G Troutman and Malinda T Harden Troutman are his great grandparents. Elizabeth Lang and Silas Lang are his gg grandparents. The rest of the names listed here are all aunts, uncles and cousins. Emma Troutman, Forrest H. Troutman, Frederick Troutman, Grace Louise Troutman, Hattie B. Troutman, Lewis W. Troutman, Patricia A. Troutman, Lovell Kohn, Earl J Kohn, Albert Lang, Carrie L Lang, Watson Lang, Alice I Lang.
I hope I didn't miss any. I appreciate the effort you have made in documenting so many people. It is incredibly generous and very helpful for those of us who live so far away. If you need any other information, I will be happy to provide it. Thank you very much. Sandy

Thank you very much for taking the time to look for those. Too bad we don't have anything more than Charle's year of death. Maybe we'll have better luck with Matilda who died 19 January 1918.
