Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have always had a fascination with history especially in geneology. When I was young we would go to family reunions and while the other kids played, I stayed and listened to the older ones talking about their families and old times. Now with most of them gone, all that remains are memories. I don't have their pictures, but it keeps them remembered with photos of their headstones. That's why I love this site, everyone helping each other to do just that. So many are lost, damaged or unreadable it's imperative that we get as many recorded as possible.

John Etter #68062679

I am trying to clarify the parents of my 2nd Great Grandfather's second wife, Mary Ellen "Polly" Etter. Some sources have identified them as John Etter and Elizabeth Kinser. While those 2 individuals were married, their ages to dot allow them to be parents to Polly - which I just discovered.

Additional research has led me to another John Etter, for whom you've created a Find A Grave memorial. Do you have any information about other children they may have had? Polly would have been born in VA c1808-1810 before they migrated to TN.

Searching for Mary Ellen "Polly" directly has not been fruitful thus far.

I appreciate any help you can provide.

Michael T. Noonan
Hi Gina,

This is in regards to Michael T. Noonan. Unfortunately, Find a Grave has a glitch in its system right now regarding adding parents, but forcing one to delete the spouse. This happened to me four times yesterday.

Michael's Find A Grave # is 88751853
or the complete website :

I tried to add his parents
Peter Noonan Find A Grave# : 30810185 &
Catherine (Roddy) Noonan Find A Grave# : 30810221
They're both buried at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Cornlea, Platte County, NE.

One person today processed my edit and of course gave me a DECLINE due to the Find a Grave glitch, but they were aware of the glitch and corrected it. I thanked them, which you can see on my page via their response. The other person did not notice the glitch. Therefore, the parents were added, but the spouse was deleted. I have done a re-edit to get the spouse back for their memorial.

Thank you for understanding and I deeply appreciate it since you are the manger of his memorial in that the glitch does not affect you.

Again this is for, Michael T. Noonan, parents are Peter Noonan # 30810185 & Catherine (Roddy) Noonan # 30810221.

Thank you for the extra effort, Lovina

Ural Herrick Bentzinger (Mem #87402164)
I am the daughter of Ural Bentzinger and noted that her parents and siblings are not listed on the memorial site. Her parents were John Herrick, (mem.#55258594) and Addie Herrick (mem.#55258565). Her siblings were Glen (mem.#55858616) Howard (mem.#98902376) Edward Lyle (mem.#142813755) Herrick and Gladys Anderson (mem.#105495436).

I would like to see this information added if possible. Thenk you.

The Martens, Middleton, Fender in the Seward Cemetery
Hi Gina,
I am working with Janice Swartz on her genealogy. She would like to add a comment that Carl William Martens is the father of Janice Swartz and Karen Becker.

They also have grandparents and uncle in this cemetery. [Middleton and Fender]

Thank you for you consideration.

Still incorrect
Hi Gina,
The edit that you just processed for Lena Rossitto is still incorrect. You have the name of his first wife as his second wife!

First wife of Antonino Rossitto was:
Emanuela Maddelena Maria Adorno. 'Ella'.
There is already a memorial for her, this was my great-grandmother's cousin.

Second wife of Antonino Rossitto was :
Antonina Francesca Moscrey Rossitto 'Lena'.
She was the daughter of Salvatore and Benedetta Moscrey. She was first married to Unknown Rizzo and had a son by him in 1907. She married Antonino Rossitto in 1911 April.

Sorry to be such a pain in the butt!
LOl..thank you!

I figured it out!!! Emanuela Maddelena Maria Adorno Rossitto was Antonino Rossitto's FIRST wife! She was born in 1884 & died in 1910. She went by 'Ella'. Coincidence: Her youngest sister was named Carmelina but went by 'Lena'. (Married name Greco).
Antonino then married Antoinette 'Lena' Francesca Moscrey in 1911. (Lena Rossitto).

Fact: Your memorial for Lena Rossitto is correct in the fact that she was married to Antonino Rossitto, however, and married him in Omaha Nebraska in 1911, & she was the daughter of: Salvatore and Benedetta Moscrey. She lived from 1887-1966.
Whew!!! Its been bugging me all day! Lol.
Thank you, can please correct the memorial? It will help all of us who are trying to straighten this out! :)

Hi Gina,
Thank you so very much for getting back to me so quickly. I really appreciate it.
I also appreciate the offer to transfer the memorial to me, the only thing is, is I'm not sure she's a part of my family. The one thing I am certain of is this Lena Rossitto is definitely not the daughter of my great-great-aunt Giuseppa Magno Adorno.
I have been searching this family for 16 years and just in the last couple of weeks, have stumbled upon these members of my family which we didn't even know where in existence. All this time we thought it was just my great-grandmother, her brother and sister who came to America, to Omaha, and then came to California in 1920. We had no idea they left behind cousins and aunts and uncles in Omaha until just a few days ago courtesy of and the DNA tests which are hooking us up with all these other relatives in Omaha.
Perhaps you can tell me the name of the contributor that asked you to add this information, maybe she is part of my family? But I can always transfer the memorial to (Lenas) to a closer family member if I am contacted by one. So thank you very much!!

Thank you so much for transferring this memorial to me. I apologize for not thanking you sooner, I am not sure how I missed the transfer notice. It means a lot to me and I appreciate all the hard work you have done for a long time for all of us that use findagrave. Thank you again!
