Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing research for the past 30 years in (Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada). I have been retired from the (R.C.M.P.) Royal Canadian Mounted Police for 35 years. Enjoy doing research, did 25 years of working on the history of the oldest existing Junior Hockey Team in the World (Regina Pats). Was the first Assistant Coach with the Pats, also first Statistician in Western Canada. Finally having the history published as a book in 2010.

I have been a member of the Saskatchewan Genealogical Society for over 25 years and have been doing my family for approximately 40 years.

I worked on my family research and was able to go back to the 1600's on my Dad's side. Nottingham, England.

***********************************

2016 - Was in the hospital 8 times in 9 months from February to September

***********************************

I had two serious car accidents, one resulting in a neck problem and four years ago found out I have Post-Polio Syndrome, resulting in fatigue and tiredness. Not able to get to the Cemetery to take pictures any more. Love helping others as much as I can in research.

(REGINA CEMETERY): Vandalism Hits Cemetery - 1993 and 2011

**** Thoughtless vandals tipped over and damaged several memorials in the historic Regina Cemetery.

Both our home community and the families effected by this disgraceful crime deserve better.

This is why Remco of Regina stepped in to help repair the damage and re-set these monuments at no charge to the cemetery or the families effected.

***

Unfortunately, the careless act of vandals who entered the secured Regina Cemetery on May 13, 2011 has left a number of headstones damaged. In some cases damage is only minimal and headstones can be put back in place. Other cases are more substantial. The responsibility for fixing or replacing the headstones is the responsibility of the next of kin or a designate.

At least 70 headstones were damaged, with some simply toppled while others were broken altogether.

(I have the complete list of damaged tombstones)

Due to the damage, some head stones are still on their faces. One shows were a portable saw removed half of the printing.

(REGINA CEMETERY) - EACH BLOCK (Has 2 Rows) - Their are some that have only one row.

ALSO: Have come across a lot (about 50 or more) of tombstones that are unreadable and damaged.

********************************************

(REGINA JEWISH CEMETERY) - WE HAD ALL PHOTO'S of the tombstones. A lady wanted the Jewish Cemetery to be separate. I had the Regina Cemetery and Jewish Cemetery together. She started up a separate Jewish site. Said she had all the photo's, so I removed all the photo's from the Regina site.

RE: Memorial # 110 958 158
I photographed the entire cemetery, gate and headstones, and seems we have a duplication.
There is no St Vladimirs cemetery in Kelliher, and so I ask that you have this memorial merged with
# 165 816 274

I am sending this note because you seem to have great knowledge of Regina Cemetery. The grandson for this couple says they are buried here. He in 1953 and she in 1957. I would be grateful if you could find out the truth of this
Thank you
