I've lived in Acushnet, MA. since 1958 and have always been interested in photography and history so having a hobby that combines the two is great.|
I'm a 2nd generation American on both sides of my family with both sets of grandparents arriving in New Bedford, MA after 1900.
My parents, David Pimental and Norma S. Pimental, maternal grandparents, Harry #39060089 and Bertha (Baumeister) Settele #39060089, plus maternal aunts and uncles, Louis H. Settele #39060184 and his wife, Kathleen “Kay” Higham #39060231 and Harry Settele Jr #39059970 and his wife, Mary Anna Josefek #39060037, are at Pine Grove Cemetery in New Bedford so I started adding to the entries there to aid others researching their genealogy and got hooked on photographing stones and adding to the data on FAG.
Since 2012 I've been concentrating on Rural Cemetery which is also the final resting place for my paternal grandparents, Manuel Dias Pimental Jr #41299437 and Valentina (Mello) Pimental #41294992, Grand-aunt and Godmother, Amelia “Millie” Monteiro #41294450, paternal great-grandparents, Manuel #41294221 and Rosa (Botelho) de Mello #41294307 and Grand-aunt Beatrice “Bea” Edwards #41294366.
Please don't hesitate to ask for a transfer of any relative of yours that I've entered, no matter how distantly related. I'm not related to most of the memorials I've created and always like to see them in the care of a family member.
I post most of my headstone photos to Ancestry in my FAG Research tree under my Ancestry user name "trinka5364". I also post my photos to Ancestry when I find that I've photographed stones that already have photos posted in FAG.
Anyone who wishes to use these headstone photos for non-commercial purposes should have the courtesy to give credit to the photographer when copying: ex: Photo by D J Pimentel, or copy & paste the Find A Grave Memorial #.
The flowers I leave on memorials are mostly shots I've taken of flowers in my garden or ones I took when visiting other gardens on vacation.

never mind the photo, looks like your memorials were duplicated due to difference in last name Furnane vs. Furnans. Your memorial is here:
I'll send a message to the FurnanE holder and perhaps you could note last name G.R.1 listed as Furnane on page 180, births, New Bedford vital records to 1850.

John and Mary Furnane are buried in Rural. Mary's direct link is here:
you have photo of the gravestone on your ancestry.com familytree. thought you might post to their findagrave memorials.
typo corrected - thanks

good catch! thanks for the research and best regards :)
|William Wallace||Couple of Corrections|
My Mother Madge Wallace #112584485 has the name "Motta" I assume listed as her maiden name. Her maiden name was Westgate.
also, laid next to her is an Althea (Ellis) Westgate which is Madge's mother and not on the Tabor Cemetary list.
To the left (south) of their graves is a Sandra Acevedo. She is Madge's sister and Althea's daughter.
I am in the process of doing some genealogy and have found alot of info from Find A Grave.
If you can add these changes, I would appreciate it.
Thank you for all you do

thank you so much, the way it appeared on death record I could not tell...looked like died Smith Mills, buried New Bedford but not being local I could not be sure as "Smith Mills" could be a manufacturer within New Bedford. I am very glad you visited his memorial and that you check edits.

thanks for noticing the year of birth discrepancy. I had made a typo, the G.R.1 said 1833 as does the stone. I so appreciate your collaboration and your pictures!
