Josephus Simmons was 1st cousin to my great grandfather, James Madison Simmons. James' daughter, Nelle, was a detailed keeper of family history and there is a note that Josephus lost his left arm at the Battle of Perryville. Do you also have this information?

Could you please share your evidence of the burial site of Thomas "Long Tom" Simmons? A lot of people have been looking for a very long time and would be overjoyed to have that information to submit to such organizations as Daughters of the American Revolution.

I don't know if you are aware of it or not, but you have duplicated at least four memorials that someone else had set up before yours were created.
Yours really should be deleted to make for less confusion.

I too am working on this line for DAR but through his son James Carroll. The sticking issue is an actual connection of father to son. Do you have any documents for this?

My name is Judith Moss Pobjecky. Thomas Simmons is my fourth great-grandfather. His son, Joel, is my third great-grandfather. I'm putting together papers for DAR and have to have Thomas's birth and death date and, proof. I know family history and information lists his place of passing as, Close to Russellville, Ky. I also have information that says it's Henderson, Ky. I called the cemetery and they have no record of him at Memorial Gardens. I also called the county and they say they have no record of his death. Do you know of any proof of a stone or marker at his grave? Have you ever talked to the cemetery? I wonder if they have an old book of graves or, grave sites?
Any information you can share will be greatly appreciated. I love having the information and it matches with family info. Am just hoping to prove it.
