Thanks to all FAG contributors; I think FAG is a great project to be involved with.

Entries are based on grave photos, obituaries and death records. I have photos of most entries, so if there is not a photo on the memorial you are interested in, please enter a photo request and I will get the photo posted if i have one. A warning: my photography leaves something to be desired at times; if you have a better photo, please add it.

I do not include names of living persons in obituaries. Also, a reference should be included in obituaries revealing the source.

I am happy to add family link and extra information into memorials. I almost always try confirm the information. I do not link to burial unknown memorials.

If you would like a transfer within FAG guidelines, please request it through the Edit-Suggest a correction tab.

I take all the photos that I upload to the site. Pictures may be copied for personal, non-commercial purposes (including adding to, if desired); a small credit would be appreciated (but not necessary).

I submitted an edit for his burial location, but was informed by another person on find a grave that your memorial is a cenotaph. I apologize for the edits. I didn't realize it was a cenotaph, because the note section stated him being buried with his sister. My apologies. Please ignore edit requests. I'll delete my picture as well.

Thank you for your time and effort for taking and posting the headstone photo. Your efforts help close the gap in ancestry research.

Thomas and Julia McCormick

I was just notified by the cemetery office at Mount Hope that your records are accurate.
They had a fire in the 1950's and lost a lot of their information on burials.

That is good information to have as I am sure a lot of people are questioning burials there.

Have a good day and thanks for your efforts.

Thomas and Julia McCormick
Good Day,

I have been working on some of my McCormick relatives on Find A Grave and found the following
item I would appreciate if you could clarify.

Your listing of Thomas and Julia are shown as Mount Hope in Elgin, Illinois and the cemetery has no record of either of them.

Julia Find A Grave # 168659964
Thomas Find A Grave # 168659963.

I would appreciate any assistance you could give me.

Thank you for your efforts on Find A Grave it is appreciated.

Bernard Lynn
I was wondering if you could do me a HUGE favor. My great great grandfather was Michael Lynn and his mother and brother are buried in the BLuff City Cemetery in Elgin. YOu have a picture of this and claim it memorial number 113742960. It is for his wife Margaret Knowles Lynn. I see the big tall staute and on one side is Bernard's info. The other is for his mother Allice Lynn and then on the other is probably is some other info. I can only see the three sides. Could you see if someone would go out and take all 4 sides of the monument. I would appreciate that so much.
