Bio

In memory of Meg Stevens (1928-2013), a great genealogist, who dedicated herself to preserving the memory of those who have passed.

If Meg has helped you in your research, please take a moment to write a special message of remembrance on her Findagrave Profile Page.

This is what she chose to write about herself.

"In my younger days, I walked and recorded many cemeteries but now my age and health makes that very difficult. Thus I content myself with creating memorials from older records I find on the web.

My main concern is Mount Vernon Cemetery in Philadelphia. Two sets of my great great grandparents are buried there as well as one set of great grandparents. Since the management makes getting information, or even visiting, very difficult, I am creating memorials for the people buried there from the Philadelphia death records and obituaries in the hopes of making the cemetery more transparent.

When sending me corrections or additions, please do it through the edit button on the memorial. This makes it much easier for me to determine who you are writing about."
