I was born and raised in Louisiana, Pike County, Missouri where some of both sides of my family has lived since before 1800. Most of my families ancestors are from Pike and Calhoun Counties in Illinois arriving before 1830 and Pike County and Ozark County in Missouri arriving before 1850. My wife Patti Clayton Campbell's family is mostly from Virginia and lived in and around Norfolk. Born in Richmond, a Navy daughter, she was raised here and there but considers Fairfax City, VA home. Our research interests include Campbell, Emerick, Haff, Sisson, Staggs, Crissman, Turnbaugh, Shinn, and Small, in my line and Clayton, Farrow, Stone, Lee, and Capps in her line.|

I would like a transfer of this memorial. Also her husband's memorial #130774845 please. I am related to both of them and will be able to connect them to their family members. Thanks, Shelby Morris #47536786
Thanks for the mistake. I transfer the memorial to you.

Hi! I need the burial Section and Lot Numbers in order to take a photograph for you. This cemetery's staff does not help photo volunteers, and the burial location is not available anywhere else.
Last year I fulfilled over 450 photo requests at this cemetery after the burial location was provided.
P.S. I tried to look up his burial location at the local library, but I could not find his name in the list of burials for this cemetery.

Re: 125078217James Monroe Dillon, father of our subject, was also engaged in the lumber business for a number of years. making staves, hoop-poles, saw-logs, etc.. which he sold on the bank of the river or rafted down to St. Louis, Mo. During the later rears of his life he turned his attention to farming and made a great success of all agricultural pursuits. He passed away October 6, 1852.
The mother of him of whom we write was previous to her marriage 125078217 Miss Ellen Ferguson, and after the death of her first companion she became the wife of Henry Hefner. She died in Gilead Precinct in January, 1869. At her death 7451467 John came into possession of the homestead, he being the only son born to his parents.

Thank you for the history on Daniel Shinn Mr. Campbell. I ran across him in Josiah Shinn's book and was thrilled to see a headstone for him on findagrave. I have read up on them a bit. Daniel is my 4th cousin 5 x removed from two directions:
Daniel was 4th cousin to my 3rd great grandfather, Samuel Clark Jr. (parents Elizabeth Shinn and Samuel Clark Sr.) who came to Pike County with his parents in 1829.
He was 4th cousin to my 3rd great grandmother, Emma Shinn (m. Samuel Clark Jr/parents Isaiah and Nancy Robey Shinn) who came with her family to Pike County between 1829 and 1831.
(cousin marriage between Samuel Clark Jr and Emma Shinn...so not to cause confusion)
Both sides of my family are from Pike county also. My mom would be your direct 8th cousin thru this line. I'll see if I can access your ancestry page. I don't subscribe to it yet.
