Quaker Settlement Question
Hi, June! I will be working with historians in the Ithaca area in June and will be visiting the Quaker Settlement Cemetery for the first time. You have done such a great job with photographing the monuments for FindAGrave! Thanks so much!

My 4x great grandparents Ira Smith and Sarah Davenport and their daughter Lorinda Smith and her husband Dr. Parvis Austin Williams (my 3x great grandparents) are also buried there.

I hope to get the monuments of my 3x great grandparents repaired and reset. I have contacted the town of Ulysses and hopefully they can help. They are checking into it. I am also going to set up an appointment with the Ulysses historian.

I am concerned about getting into the cemetery. Is there a good access place...and a safe place to park while I research in the cemetery?

Any other advice?

Henry H Husier
Hi,
My Grandfather Walter A Yates had a brother named Henry H Husier born in Pennsylvania in 1897 born to George W Yates and Mary Kimber. Not sure if you are related as the last name and birthdate is a bit different?

Actually re Margaret Wrean - This is pretty exciting for me.My family is very small and to run into someone who is "of the tree" is pretty rare. Yes, Margaret is the daughter of my great grand Uncle Robert Wrean. I have the whole family linked up on this site. You can start with my G.G.Grandpa - page #130963434.Our name with its different spelling is uncommon - every person listed on fg except one[the first one] is my family.I'm looking forward to hearing how we're connected.

[Actually re: Charlotte Burley] Thanks June. I did find a little more about the daughter Charlotte - her second name was Olivia, so she was not 'fully' named for her mother, and her day of birth was May 4.Good luck on all your quests!!

Charlotte Odessa Bailey Burley #71229220
Hello June - There's something tangled up with Charlotte's links - she's appearing as her own daughter , they both have the same page number. The only information I have is that Dexter and Charlotte did have a daughter named Charlotte, no info on whether it was also the same second and third names. She was born in 1867.

I've been linking up her daughter-in-law's family and was surprised to see there is no page for Polly's husband, Ira. The family records show he is buried there at Mills, no dates recorded [although there is full birth info in record] just says there's a Civil War marker for him.Their son Alonzo has a page, as does his wife Eliza. Another Ellis there, Alice V., I can't identify if she is related.
I don't suppose you saw a possible stone that might be Ira's.. That was a while ago now that you created Polly's page.
