Bio Photo I am pleased to announce that Mt Pleasant has been completely photographed. That is those stones that are visible. The photos are not posted on FAG but I check the request list against my database.

All those photo requests are most likely unmarked or illegible grave sites.

Any memorial page I have created I have a picture of the headstone.

If you want a photo officially request one, don't bury your request in a spouse or another family members photo request.

Too many volunteers are now asking for other volunteers to do their research, please try and do your own on your time.

I take responsibility ONLY for the information obtained from the headstone unless otherwise specified by me. There are very few exceptions.

Due to the changes and procedures for adding addition information it is very time consuming to include the source. Find A Grave DOES NOT provide a way to show where the information comes from.

In light of these changes and the automated edit system, which makes it almost impossible to deny acceptance of changes and addition, I have been transferring all memorial pages to those wishing to make edits. This too has become too time consuming.

Therefore, in order to include the changes whether the information is CORRECT OR NOT I feel I am being forced to accept all edits. I hate this part because I have had quite a few people send edits only to resend two or three times in order to make corrections.

If you find errors send corrections but do not, I repeat DO NOT ask me about the information posted or hold me responsible for the additions. This goes against all genealogical best practices, but the only other solution would be to take down all the memorials and pictures I have posted.

If you find an error, double listing or double picture please let me know so I can correct the problem.

I have in the past used a picture of the cemetery gate/sign with "Office couldn't locate a burial for this person" imprinted on it. If you get this posting and do find a picture of you persons tombstone, let me know and I will remove it.

You have a photograph of a stone in Lakeview Cemetery in Houghton County. It only says RICHARDS. I am looking for the grave of my great-great grandmother who was born Grace Bice....married William Richards...who died and then she married William Rapson. William Rapson is in this cemetery however it does not state he was married to Grace. I sent a correction for that with the documentation of their marriage. I was wondering if this stone might be near his grave and that only her previous married name was put on it. Was wondering if you know what graves might be near this one you did.

RE: William T. Ford 19578991
I see you did your detective work! So the location of William (d.4/18/15) Ford's plot is NB63. You can mark that in your records. I don't know when I'll get there again - hopefully during the next month or two. I hope his name is on the headstone.

If you have any questions or requests you can contact me directly. Since I'm working on so many requests you may have to remind me of this communication.

That decision needs to be made by the other contributor and/or Find A Grave. However, it Is confusing when there are multiple memorials. When DAWSON is typed in, you WILL pull up anyone with the name DAWSON and, therefore, the other memorial. That's how I found both. I was researching the mother who is buried in Iowa to locate her spouse & kids following her death. I wanted to attach her Find A Grave number to their grave's. BUT, when you're doing that, and find multiple memorials, you have to take time to find out which is the legimate one so you post it on that one. Then, contact the contributors to notify them of the duplicate, hope one will delete the 2nd to elimitate the problem, etc. That's costly timewise. Duplicates are NOT helpful, as I'm sure you probably know. Therefore, I sincerely hope you will reconsider this decision. There is a 1 memorial rule we must all abide by. Share any info w/ the other contributor, and delete the copy. That's the Find A Grave rule, not mine. Thank you for your work with Find A Grave, which is valued by friends and family seeking to locate their ancestors.

This is a duplicate of a memorial made 3/12/09 #34723627. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I was going to add family info and noticed it.

RE: Mary Jane
I didn't even think to look under Mary Jane. Thank you so much for your time, and all the memorials and photos!!

Photo # 38393416
First, I wanted to say thank you so much for your contributions to Find A Grave!!
Second, I know this is probably not possible, but can you please look at the photo for Benjamins and Eliza Monroe and tell me what the smaller stone to the left in the photograph says? I think it says Pollie something Oatley, which would make sense, as that's Eliza's daughter from her first marriage, but when I look in the index for this cemetery it's not coming up, nor is a Poll (y or ie) that works. Can you make out what that smaller stone says?
# 38393416 is the memorial photo I'm looking at. I've saved the photo and zoomed in and still not figuring out what it's indexed under.
Thank you for your time and any assistance you can provide!

RE: Loena M. Vaughn
I did contact her. I have not checked to see whether she did or not. I don't really care except that I do believe that whichever one has the most data, not the date when put up on the site, ought to be the criteria for who stays. Why not offer your better picture, or just put it there and remove your site? It is so confusing to have duplicate sites and whereas Ancestry is now saying that they have 162 M Memorial sites when my estimate is that a good ten percent are duplicates. It makes for sloppy research, IMHO; and is annoying.

RE: Hartmann
You're welcome. Did you need anything from me?

RE: Hartmann
No relation, just doing some research and ran across information from Cemetery burial cards.

This gravestone is a combination of a father, Gustave, and a daughter, Beverly.

Is it possible to have separate memorial numbers for each with Find A Grave? The relationship don't work correctly with other relatives the way it currently is.
Thank you for your efforts.
