I'm happy to transfer any memorials of people I'm not related to.
FIRST please read the FAQs here: Transfers
Then click on the EDIT tab at the top right corner of the memorial and then click
"Suggest any other correction or addition". This will generate an e-mail from Find A Grave with links to the memorial and your member page... less chance for errors this way.
I'm only human and I make mistakes (especially when my "Coffee Low-Level Warning Light" is blinking); so any Edits or additions are gladly welcomed. ^_^
For corrections/additional facts for a memorial,
see here: Corrections
Then click on the EDIT tab at the top right corner of the memorial. It's easy to make edits to Dates/Places, Family Links, Name, Plot/GPS location, and Marker Transcription. For Bio info or to notify me of a duplicate, you still need to click "Suggest any other correction or addition".

|Sue Tanner||RE: Wrong memorial|
Hi Rich, thanks for the tip. I'll repost it to the wrong memorial & and then do your tip. You'll see it in a couple of days. I'm in Montana working. Thanks again. Sue
|Sue Tanner||Wrong memorial|
Hi Rich, I am so sorry. I will have to retake it as I don't keep them after I post them. My most sincere apologies. Sue
Thanks, Rich for your very speedy reply! Whoops, I didn't realize I'd made a typo on the spelling of his name, I did know you hadn't edited it. What threw me was the Jacob, instead of Johann or John, so I thought it may be someone different. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I will do what you suggested.

I have a question about your memorial for Johann Jacob "John" Carrington buried in Sheakleyville Cemetery. Someone requested a photo, but I'm unsure I have the correct fella. The stone is difficult to read, but it has Jacob Carringer died Sept 3, 1865 aged 81 yr. 11 mo. & 2 da. As the creator of the memorial do you think this is the correct man. Also, next to him is a similar stone with Elizabeth wife of Jacob died Oct. 9, 1868 and her age is illegible. I really don't want to post the photo if it is incorrect.

I have found out that my grandfather had only lived a short time in PA but his family is from the Portland area in Chautauqua county NY and came to there from Conniticut and England originaly.
Would have been a neat thing being distant cousins wouldn't it!

Thanks, Rich, for the "heads up." I did not know that marker transcriptions are always to be verbatim.
Yes I have figured out this site and have hopefully contributed usefully now.
I have had several medical problems the latest is a hip replacement so I've been offline lately.
I have gotten a couple of very negative comments about my memorial photos but have weathered them (Most were unfounded as I have taken them all of the photos personally!) The GPS data gets confusing as I have used both a Tom Tom GPS and a phone ap and occassionaly they don't agree. Also, some use Google maps to find the grave and Google does not always locate accurately as a privacy thing. I'm still not convinced that any GPS is any more accurate than to within ten feet of an address. (Gov't demand?)
My Munson side of the family tree is as follows:
Capt Thomas Munson from Sufolk England ? - ?
Samuel 1643 - 1693
Caleb 1668 - 1741
Watsill 1697 -1789
Reuben 1720 - 1780
Samuel 1762 - 1841
Lemuel 1790 - 1871
Reuben W 1832 - ?
William L 1866 - 1928
Arlington 1893 - 1971 My Grandfather
I havent made any connection between us but it still may be there.

Thanks so much Rich..... so I saved the sideways photos to my computer from the OLD site but they were saved upright so I could not edit them. I tried your idea of going to the NEW site and load them up as a sideways photo and they posted upright. SO CONFUSING.... jeepers. Should never be this difficult (ha ha). I will try to remember and not turn my camera sideways to take a photo. Like I said, this has never happened anywhere else I had to load a photo to except for the F.A.G. site. Maybe the new improved site will take care of the sideways photos!!! Appreciate all your help.
