|Carol A Spayer||Ellenora Rork|
Hi Jennie - It looks like we're related in two ways!! As RORKS and as HAVENS...
Daniel Keen Rork and wife Charlotte MorganRork had 12 children. Your GG grandmother Ellenora was their first and my GG grandfather William Morgan was their 5th. So that's our RORK connection.So we share DK and CM Rork as GGG grandparents.
In addition, we even share James Daniel Havens as an ancestor.I am a product of his first marriage and you are from his second!
James (my GGG grandfather)and his first wife had 6 children. Margaret Havens was the eldest.
She married William Morgan Rork and they are my GG grandparents.
After James first wife died, he married YOUR GG grandmother Ellenora Rork so he would be your GG grandfather. They had several more children (from which you descended)
So Ellenora (who was 20 years younger than JD Havens!) was not only the older sister to my GG grandfather William Morgan Rork, but then became the "stepmother" to Williams wife Margaret Havens Rork (my GG grandmother)!!
NOTE: William and Ellenora (and their other siblings) never lived in Ireland. W and E were born in Ohio! They were the 4th generation of Rorks to live here in the USA - the first generation to come here from Kerry Ireland was Daniel(1st) who married Theodosia Eldridge. Their son Daniel (2nd)married Phebe Keen and they gave birth to Daniel Keen Rork (3rd)- who married Charlotte Morgan.
If you have more research to share with me or find errors in mine, please let me know.
I'm stumped trying to find out more about James Daniel Haven's first wife and also about their son Charles...
Isn't this fun!??
I am not really sure, I think they would perferr you did not place living members of the family on a memorial, so I was not doing it, but now I see hundreds of people adding the obituary to a memorial. The obituary lists the living family members, so I don't see why you can not list them in the Bio.
I have added Naomi's obituary to her memorial. It does name her siblings. Maybe that will help.
