P.S. I spent many hours in the ROACH Cemetery up on muddy creek mountain west of Lewisburg. The one sad thing there is many graves marked only by less resilient wooden crosses. Funeral home markers last longer IF someone does not mow over them.!!

RE: O'Neills
Hi Susan,
I got your email, will reply back in length. Yes, am related to the O'Neills; Peter O'Neill was my GGG Grandfather. I will upload my dad's DNA results as you suggested. THANKS!

William B. Wade
Hello Susan,

I am William B. Wade's 3X Great-Grandson. I have been doing research into the Athens County Wade family for several years now. I see in your memorial for him that he is linked to Henson H. Wade. Would it be possible for you to send me the evidence you were able to collect for this? I haven't been able to come across Henson in any of my research, despite my best efforts.

In addition, my research indicates that William B. Wade married Elizabeth Wells on the 13th or 14th of December, 1865. Currently, the graves indicate that Elizabeth Wells is married to a Henry Wade, linked as a brother of William. Is it possible she married one when the other died?

RE: O'Neills
Hi Susan,
I am the daughter of John V Graff, the gg grandson of Peter O'Neill, who emigrated from Ireland in around 1854. We have had Dad's DNA done through Ancestry.com.
Please share with me how we can send you the results. Thank you in advance for all the work you have done here!
Kind regards,
Meg Graff Gerdes

Ludwig Frederick Reitenauer
Hi Susan,
I was wondering if you would be willing to correspond with me. I am working on the Oats family in Perry Co., OH and Huntington Co., IN. In a petition found in 1861 in Huntington Co., IN, regarding property after the death of Susan Reams Oats. In the petition is listed Jacob Reidenour, Sr., Jacob Reidenour,Jr., Samuel Reidenour and Margaret Reidenour, among other names. I have not been able to identify the Oats daughter who may have married Jacob Reidenour. But in reading your Bio on Ludwig Frederick Ridenour, I noticed the middle name of Oats in a descendent that you listed. I am wondering if you know where and to whom the Oats name comes from. The Oats family goes back to York Co., PA and Lawrence Oats who married Sarah Squibb. One branch went to Perry Co., OH and on to Huntington Co., IN, while the other branch went to Bath Co., KY. Thank you. Barbara(Squibb)Chesley

Hello Susan,

Your edit states the parents are George H and Annie Bowermaster ? and that my link is the grandfather George H. Bowersox. How do you know it's the grandfather? and is Bowermaster correct?

Just checking for clarification.
I appreciate any more info you can provide.

Thanks so much,
History Hunter

Hi, Susan,

I hope you are doing well.

Thank you so much for the additional information on May. I will accept your edits as soon as I finish this note - didn't want to lose your contact info.

By any chance, are you related? I am not, and would be very happy to see her and her family in Greenwood "go home" to family, or even friends. I firmly believe that folks are better off with someone who knows them, and have no need to manage every memorial I post. If you would like to manage her memorial, and/or others I have added, please let me know.

In the meantime, because of your interest, I will make getting her photo and additional information from the cemetery records posted as soon as possible.

I hope you have a great Thanksgiving and a safe holiday season. Take care.

Kathy

RE: Agnes Best
I am honoured to sponsor her memorial and leave flowers, she died way too young.
