I have been researching and recording my family history since Summer 2012, following the death of my last grandparent and finding various family records with various names and dates that I wanted to start keeping a record of, at least the most basic information: Names, dates of birth/death, bar mitzvah dates even (I had found a couple of my uncles' bar mitzvah photo albums at her place), and so forth. My research ballooned and--as of my writing this up--I've got more than 100 full pages of information written up. The catalyst for this project was a sad event, but "finding" my family has been an awesome experience!
