I love Ethel!|
Finally done American Mechanics Cemetery..Some of the records were unreadable, some had no names. The person who listed the stones wrote that many of the older ones were broken and unreadable,and some were simple plain wooden crosses so we will never know all who were buried there. But with well over 7,000 names hopefully you can find who you were looking for. If you do find someone, please go to the cemetery home page for the list of cemeteries they were transferred to and contact them. I will gladly change their place of burials or transfer them to you.

|Craig D||RE: george harry griffith|
Thank you so much. Can you send me a copy of the document or a link to it? Everything that I have shows "George H" or "Geo H" and I'd like to confirm the middle name. I checked the register from American Mechanics' Cemetery, the burial card, and the death certificate so far.
I visited Philadelphia Park last month - the office there didn't have any additional paperwork. I added photos from my visit to the site.
Thanks for any and all help! This little guy and his father are buried together, and were in a branch of my mother's family that was unknown to them until about a year ago...
PS - I apologize if the tone of my first message was harsh - when I reread it, I didn't mean to say "where did you come up with" to imply anything negative.

|Jimmy Andruszkewicz||Bristol Cemetery|
Over the past few years I have been looking for the gravesite my Great Uncle Joseph Andro. He was moved from Bellevue Cemetery in the 1950s, but no one was able to tell me where he wound up!
Thanks for this photo - one more piece of the family history puzzle is now in place!!
|Mark Maxwell||RE: Sarah Smith of Port Republic|
I could move my info to your entry and delete mine when you move yours but after typing this it seems less cumbersome for you to delete yours. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do.

|Mark Maxwell||Sarah Smith of Port Republic|
Your 2005 entry for Sarah Smith has some problems.
You note that she is the wife of Capt. Micajah Smith. That is correct, but she is not interred in Union Cemetery. She is interred in "Old Union Cemetery" aka "Old Methodist Union Cemetery" with her husband, on the other side of the road (see Memorial #18701882).
The other problem is the photo that was added is for a different Sarah Smith that is in the Union Cemetery. This is the sister of Owen et. als.
How do you want to handle my inadvertant duplication of your Sarah Smith?
|Dawn D.||RE: Higgins Family|
Hello Joyce. No, I am not related to the Higgins family. I was editing memorials I created on findagrave and doing research on them. When I got to one family I was doing, the Higgins family happened to be on the same Census page. I noticed that Mary Higgins was listed as the Mother of 14 children with 12 living as of 1910. It made me curious about the family and I did a little research on them.

Thanks for adding the photo of Margaretta Wright. She was my 3x great aunt. I sent an edit with her maiden name Stradling. I was wondering if you would mind if I use the photo of the headstone on my public tree? Thanks.

Hope you enjoy me research for the above memorial. I sent you all the "Edits" I could for this person and his wife and children.
|sharlene boevingloh||RE: jackson kirle|
Hi, I'll take it if you don't want to manage it. I just wanted to verify my information. I didn't want to create an additional findagrave memorial for him if one already existed. By the way I have no idea how a memorial is transferred or what info you would need from me to do it.

Hi, I have a Jackson KIPLE supposedly buried in the Reformed Church Graveyard in Feasterville PA. He died 18 Aug 1851. Could "your" Jackson KIRLE be him? Thanks,
