I am a eighty year old retired USAF fighter pilot living in Millville, Utah who has been doing genealogy research for over thirty years. It all started in 1981, with a hand typed 6" x 9" 3 ring binder, provided to my father by Edna Emily Reh (Helfer) Hillard, containing information on less than 100 people. It has evolved to over 2,000 ancestors and relatives. |
Find A Grave allows me to provide my relatives with a little genealogy along with photos so they can better relate to their ancestors. My line of ancestors is indicated by • Name •. My earliest know Hillard ancestor is • Guy H. Hillard • .
I get a lot of satisfaction providing additional information for those in other parts of the country. It is my way of returning the favors everybody has and is doing for me.
I have extensive records for the Hillard family and their associated branches which I will gladly provide to anyone who would like the information.
If you find any errors, or have additional information for any of my memorials, please notify me. If you have better or additional photos, please upload them to the memorial or email them to me.
Please feel free to use any of the photos that I have posted on FAG. A credit would be nice, but is not required.

|Friends of Rocky Versace ||Former MIA Capt Robert Holton|
Greetings! During today's Annual Meeting of the National League of POW/MIA Families, a son of USAF Capt Robert E. Holton announced to the assembled MIA families that DoD notified him that his father's remains, missing in Laos since 1969, were positively identified. The family should bring him home to Montana over the summer. Verification or notification of this should be on DoD's DPAA website in 4-6 weeks.

Thank you for the memorial for my mother, are you by chance related to her?

Hello Lee A. Hillard
On Mary's memorial it has information compiled by Jack Victor Williams, is Mr. Williams a contributor?
Wondering how it is known that Mary's maiden name was Munn. Also is this information from a book if so what is the name of the book?
Thank you very much
Mary's 8th great granddaughter

Thank you for your posting information on Find a Grave for our mutual family ancestor. We are trying to further research on Henry Sylvester Shandrew's father John. Coming against brick walls. We would love to communicate with you if you have any mutual family information. Thank you. DelmaRae Shandrew
|Karen Kelly||Hillard family info|
My husband’s great grandmother was Ida Elizabeth McGinnis through her marriage to his great grandfather, Samuel Milton Kelly. According to the death certificate, her mother’s maiden name was Emma Jane Bulhman (sp). According to the obituary, she also had 3 half brothers, Edward, Andrew, Richard and a sister, Etta Hillard (Etta's married name was Bowser). Would you happen to know who their father was and when Emma Jane and him were married? So far, I have been unable to find any information on the Hillard part of the family.

I loved reading the memorial you left for Ralph Spencer Hill (a distant cousin with common ancestor Nathaniel Hill- discovered through ancestry.com). Biographies like this make the ancestor hunt so much more interesting! Fun to see connections- Yosemite (a favorite place of mine) and Sebastopol (we lived in Petaluma). Makes me wonder if our paths every crossed! Thank you!

Placed an updated photo on the memorial of Mary Denning Hillard 135972467 with death year engraved.
|Heidi Short||Elizabeth C Short|
Just fact checking on the parentage of Elizabeth.
Elizabeth C. Short was the daughter of Luella Faris (1760-1821) and Joshua Short (1752-1841).
Where did those facts come from?

I have transferred his memorial to you.
Thank you for your service to our country.
