Garrison Greenwood
Hello! I'm researching my Greenwood roots and found the picture of Garrison Greenwood on your memorial. I would like permission to post this as the profile picture for Garrison in my tree. Would you be willing to give me permission to do so? Thank you for your consideration!

Name of Unknown La Plata internee is Nix
According to an old Amarillo newspaper article, "I'll Never Forget" 1938, "(Ed. Note - This week's feature is some random reminisces dealing with old graves plowed under in the county. It was written by an early settler who wishes to remain anonymous.)"

"Contrary to the belief of most historians that there was a Boot Hill portion to the La Plata cemetery, old-timers say that there was only one person buried in the cemetery who died with his boots on."

"Early in 1891 a man named Cook went out in the country to arrest a coal miner from New Mexico for some trivial violation of the law. He accidentally - or otherwise - shot Nix, the miner. Nix was the first person to be buried in the La Plata Cemetery and the only one who died with his boots on."

And thank you for posting this grave.

RE: London Cemetery,London,TX
Thanks for the reply and going to place flowers. Tell her she (and you) can look up his page at our web site:
We have a page for everyone on the Vietnam Wall plus POW's and several others.
Next thing, I was camping at the State Park there and saw that no one had taken pictures for all those at the city cemetery. So I spent a full day and took pictures of the whole cemetery. We also spent a day kayaking on the river and looking at the stars. We are from Austin and your stars are much brighter.

Do you have any access to this cemetery. I am trying to find out if Sgt Gerald W Fritz is buried there. He died in Thailand during a rescue mission in 1975. I found a obit in the S A newspaper the said he was buried in London,TX. we need a photo of his grave stone.
Any help appreciated

Ellen Lawson Matthews
I noticed that you added a pic of Ellen Matthews and was wondering if you know if she ever had any children or nephews with a last name of Matthews. I am researching my great great grandfather, Andrew Jackson Matthews (1835-1887) and was wondering if you happen to have any history on him? I cannot find anything about his parents or those before him. I have his decendents. He is buried at Tuscumbia, Missouri, as is Ellen. His page shows this info: Find A Grave Memorial# 127113119. You can contact me at I greatly appreciate it.

James William Turman snafoo
Hello, long no speak! I was just checking on old information I have in my tree. Your grave site for James W Turman #78874183 seems to have messed up. It has his wife as his mother and siblings and children inter-mixed. Dratted computer programs! They can sure make a mess.
Talk to you later
