Thank you for the information. Anna and her mother are very distant cousins on my Christie line.

RE: Stevenson Cemetery
Linda, don't know if this will help. Remember I have not tracked your family for my interest comes from Clarissa Falls Hagler. I do have a notation that her husband, James Gattus Hagler, bn 28Sep 1820 Madison Co., Ill., was the son of John G & Elizabeth Stevenson Hagler.
He & Clarissa had the following children:
Sidney, Frances Isabella, Janette, Alice, Elmer, George, Arthur Lee, Frankey, & Clarissa May. Two of the sons practiced medicine in Springfield. The marriage was his 2nd.
A photo of Clarissa is in findagrave.

For your info: there are no Haglers in our area (just south of Charlotte, NC) but lots of Heglers.

RE: Stevenson Cemetery
Linda, I appreciate your acknowledgement.
For your info our interest in the Haglers stems from my wife (nee Falls) whose ancestor, William Falls, moved to Illinois from NC. Settled Bond, then Macoupin Counties. His youngest daughter, Clarissa Falls, married James Gattus Hagler and had 10 children. I have a list of the 10 should you desire.
Many of William Falls children remained in NC and it is from one of those my wife descends.

Back in the summer on a drive back from Montana we decided to circle by Macoupin Co to see what we could learn. Met a wonderful genealogist, Carolyn Bettis, who showed us around, thus enabling us to gather photos, etc.
Sure ahe would be glad to help you should you desire.

S. E. (Strut) Murdoch-South Carolina.

RE: Jacob Seiler
I can't take credit for the photos. They were taken by descendants of the Seiler/Saylor Family who had cleaned up and are trying to restore the cemetery. This was all part of their research. Here's the link to the site.
