I'm happy to transfer memorials if the person is not a close relation to me. There's no sense in me hanging on to memorials I've added where I don't know the individuals. The important thing is that the person in the memorial is remembered, not that I alone manage it.

The assumption is that the "dead" have no right to privacy, but I consider it the better part to respect those who have passed, and so take care in what information I post, making sure it is not too personal, and that it is, above all else, accurate because documentation is very important.

De mortuis nihil nisi bonum.

I've been studying genealogy, and researching family history for over 40 years, traveling far and wide to visit historical societies, museums, old homesteads and grave sites. I believe the people gone before us deserve to be remembered as part of the history of our planet. Without them we would not be.

Researching my family from Scotland, in particular ancestor William Brown, one of many Chief Traders for the Hudson's Bay Company , Founder of Fort Kilmaurs (Fort Babine, Old Fort) in British Columbia in 1822. And Joseph Collett Pennock my 6th great grandfather and builder of Primitive Hall in Pennsylvania. Johan Jost Reakirt and Christoph Friederich Klett.

Other ancestors and family from England, Ireland, France, Canada, Jamaica, North East Ghana in Africa, Algeria, Germany, Florida, Pennsylvania. Ohio, Colorado and West Virginia.

Names - Sim, Waugh, Forsyth, Macrae, Fulton, Clarke, Lindo, Lindon, Keeler, Baker, Pennock, Levis, Collett, Hayes, Woodward, Maris, Bourne, Klett, Bickley, Braun, Gibson, Kohlmann, Reakirt, Reikert, Roberts, Stortzar, Billings, Rossler, Ellmaker, Lightner, Gourlay, Stirrat, and Lawrie... just to mention a few. :)
