I'm going in for a second knee replacement Aug 21 2017. I'm calling it a total kneeclipse. Anyhow, I expect to be out of commission until the trees are bare. I hope I can get to Green-Wood before the snow falls.
****If my name is below the photo on a memorial page, please click on the photo to enlarge it and access an explanatory caption, which in most cases includes a transcription of every legible word on the lot, whether legible in the photo or not. I also include as complete a burial list as I can for as many lots as I can. If you have an issue with the photo for any reason, contact me before issuing a duplicate photo request, which will most likely send another graver on a wild goose chase for an impossible photo.
****In many cases, just because you have received an automatically generated email telling you a photo has been uploaded--don't assume that's the whole story. I nearly always put in edits to update or add information not already part of the memorial page. It could take weeks for those edits to be approved by the page creator--unless it's me--(they usually, but not always, are). So check back from time to time.
****It's a good idea to identify pages by their memorial numbers rather than by name, as names are duplicative and can change as the result of research. Green-Wood's online burial search--the source of most Green-Wood memorial pages, is generally dependable, but nevertheless loaded with small but misleading errors that are inadvertently copied into Find-a-Grave by the page creators.

Your pic for the grave of Henry E Sharp is fascinating--well researched!!
Is that the sportswriter for the Spirit of the Times and other newsapers of the 19th century?

Bob,The info I have for this man is from the Greenwood Cemetery website. There is a bio, grave location and a photo of the gravestone in the data base for Civil War veterans.I added the memorial to findagrave in hopes of getting a better photo. All the info I posted is from the Cemetery itself.
Thanks for the info. I know if you can't find him there, he's not there!

Wow! Thank you for your incredible contribution on the gravesite location of so many families. Even though the ancestor's marker that I was looking for is not marked, it is a thrill to see the location at such a beautiful cemetery. And thank you for all of the time that you took in documenting all of the families buried in this plot! Your work is very much appreciated.

Thank you so much for taking the photo of the Agnes Nellie, Charles W., Fernando W., and Lucia Cook gravesite lot in Green-Wood Cemetery. Your thoroughness in transcription has helped my family history research into the Cook branch immensely!
